•Squanto was an interpreter and guide.

•He taught the Pilgrims how:•To catch fish•To plant corn, squash, and beans

Squanto was present at the first thanksgiving

•Squanto brought Chief Massasoit and his tribe to join the Pilgrims for the feast.

•Governor William Bradford led the prayer to thank Jesus Christ for the needs, the protection, and Squanto.

•There was peace between the Indians and the Pilgrims for 53 years.
