MANUAL STARS ENTRY

A manual entry must be on every LSI pro that does not show in Transport, i.e. exel, webasto, new castle, or any other special move

Manual entries are made on the Daimler Chrysler website.

• You will need the pro #, bl#, Trl #, tractor #, SCAC code, Weight and time.

• Go to http://covisint.com

• Sign in w/ user name and password

• Go to DaimlerChrysler applications to STARS

• At Main Menu select EDI 214 Menu

• At the EDI 214 Menu select Arrival at Pickup Location to create the 10. This will mark when we picked up the freight at the supplier or plant.

Every section with a red asterisk must be filled in. You will need the

pro number, scac, trailer #, tractor #, and bill of lading #. Remember the Transmode should be “M”

The reference number is the pro number

Enter the Supplier/Plant code where you are picking the freight up at.

Delivery Location Code

Enter Date and Time

Hit Submit 214 when you are finished.

Change Transmode from A to M!

If it has been accepted this screen will appear. You can submit a 20 from here if the driver is ready to leave the supplier by clicking on Departure from Pickup Location.

If it was not accepted you will see this screen. It will tell you exactly why it was not accepted. You must hit Return to Previous Screen and fix the errors. Re-submit the 214.

You can also submit a departure time (20) at the EDI 214 Menu. You must click on Search for an EDI 214

Enter the Pro # as the Reference Number and hit the Search button.

This will bring up all the records for that Pro #. We only have one entry because we only enter the arrival (10).

Click on the circle in the SELECT column.

This will darken the circle.

Go to the drop down box for Choices for this Selection. Select Submit New 214 Transaction For Selection

Hit the Go button after selection

This will bring up an EDI 214 Manual Entry screen. Click on Departure from Pickup Location

You must enter in all the areas with a Red Asterisk! This includes weight, reason code, depart date and time, scheduled depart date and time, and the ETA date and time.

Weight

Status: always NS

Both date and time for depart and scheduled depart should be the same time!

ETA date and time

After ETA Time hit Enter and it will submit your entry.

Like the 10 you could get to screens: accepted or rejected. In this case the pro was accepted with errors. Don’t worry this is okay!

To submit the arrival at destination (40) you must go to the EDI 214 Menu. Double-click on Search for an EDI 214

Enter the Pro # as the Reference Number and hit the Search button.

This will bring up all the records for that Pro #. Notice the IE in the Status column. That means it was accepted with errors.

Click on the circle in the SELECT column.

This will darken the circle.

Go to the drop down box for Choices for this Selection. Select Submit New 214 Transaction For Selection

Hit the Go button after selection

This will bring up an EDI 214 Manual Entry screen. Click on Departure from Pickup Location

The only sections that need to be filled in are Reason code, Delivery date and time.
