Meaning

Action of inspecting inside leakage of gas V/V.

The condition of supplying water into the inside of boiler.

The condition of completing prior action in order that boiler operation may be made.

Ventilation of inside of combustion chamber before starting fire.

The condition of fire of burner.

Ignition of main burner.

The condition of 50% fire of maximum combustion capacity.

The condition of fire of maximum combustion capcity.

In order to restrict gas pressure change at the time of stop at high fire, stopping without low fire.

Ventilation of inside of combustion chamber after fire.

When designated water level is not reached, an action without transition to ignition.

The condition of operation standby due to isolation by pressure.

Attached substances、impurities such as calcium and magnesium contaied in the water.

Impurities sunk in boiler inside.

2. Using purpose and operation principle

■ Original water unitSystem pressurizing original water up to pressure reguired for water softening device.

■ Water softening systemNormally, orignial water is hard one. It is system to change it as soft one.

Hardness leakage warning deviceSystem monitoring the soft water treated in water softening device.

■ Chemicals injection systemSystem supplying chemicals capable of preventing the corrosion of boiler to it.

■ Water supply tank (condensed water tank)System storing the water returned after using softened water and steam and then supplying therequired water at the time of water supply.

■ Tubular boilerThe water pressuized and influxed into water pipe is heated by a burner.The heated water is being evaporated slowly and supplied to load side.

NoteNote

City water and underground one to be used widely as boiler water can melt various impuritiesand are various in their amount. In case of using the water with impurities without anytreatment the efficiency and life of boiler may be influenced significantly by scale, corrosion,carryover, etc. Our company has been producing the water treatment system for exclusive useof MIURA BOILER by kind. Above item is the kind of standard water treatment system. Foran optimum water treatment system of boiler of user, consult our A/S office freely.

Careful matters before using the machine

When operating MIURA Boiler, observe all of the following careful matters.If not observed, personal accident may take place.

Be sure to carry out a trialoperation.Carry out a trial operation by a person in charge og A/S after checking the installation.

Be sure to designate a person incharge of handling the machine.When using the machine, be sure to designate a person responsible for handling and the person use it after understanding this manual fully.

Don't misuse the machine.Never operate the machine and do not repair work until thismanual is understood fully.

Never use boiler water asdringking one.Since the boiler water can be changed by used water quality and piping materials, never use it as drink one.

Report are required when usingthe machine.In using the boiler various reports are required. Consult a person in charge of our marketing staff for the detailed matters.

Check the installation condition.Check that the machine has been installed accurately according to theinspection before using.

Warning

Simple clothes and wearing of protective devices

Do work in simple clothes.Never operate the machine and do not repair work throngh wearing loose clothes, accessories, etc. easily to be caught on valves and machine parts.Never wear the clothes attached with oils likely to catch a fire.

Wear protective devices.Wear helmet, protective glasses,safety shoes, gloves, etc.according to work. In particular,when injecting chemicals, wearprotective glasses and rubbergloves so that the hands andeyes may not be in contact with them.

Precautions for Warning Labels

Locations to attach warning labels.Warning labels are found in dangerous areas. For more information on locations, please refer to the Section 3 [Unit Identification and Functions].

WarningLabels Management.If the warning labels are torn or stained, replace them with new ones. For more information on warning labels, please contact our Maintenance Office.

Preparation of fire extinguisher and emergency medicine

Warning

Install a fire extinguisherwithout fail.In preparation for anyemergency, install a fire extinguisher and understand its using method.

Is power source only for boiler?Make sure that an exclusive use breaker as powersource of boiler is attached.

Do you use designated product for cablethickness?Check if cable thickness and breaker capacity are inaccordance with designated specification or not.

Is ground wiring connected to earthterminal?Make sure that ground wiring is connected to earthterminal inside a boiler control box.

Do you use the external power inside thecontrol box? If the answer is yes, you should understand that itmay lead to fire accident. Please check if there is noexternal power supply connected.

■ Installation of exhaust tubIs penetration part of exhaust tubcomposed of incombustible materials?Make sure that penetration part of exhaust tub iscomposed of incombustible materials. If it is composedof combustible materials a fire may take place.

Are combustible materials not near thecircumference of exhaust tub?Check if inflamable materials are not near thecircumference of exhaust tub. If they are existentnearby, it may be the cause for a fire.

Is the connection part airtighted and fixedsecurely?Check if airtightness and fixation of it are made fullyor not. If not, a toxication accident by exhaust gasleakage may take place.

Does the discharge piping not move withreaction by discharging?Make sure that the discharge piping is fixed securely.If not, the piping will move with reaction bydischarging, thereby causing a burn and other accidentsat the time of hot water discharge from piping.

■ Steam PipeIs it fully insulated?If the pipe passes through the inflammable walls, theinsulation is highly critical. Please check if it is fullyinsulated. Otherwise, it may lead to fire accidents.

■ Blow pipingDoes piping not move with reaction by blowwater?Checking if piping is fixed securely or not.If not, the piping will move with reaction bydischarging, thereby causing a burn and other accidentsat the discharge of hot water discharge from piping.

Is the end opened to safe place such as bitand etc?Check if the end of drain piping is opened to safe placesuch as a bit and etc.If the end of piping is installed in the place withoutdrain device, the hot water discharge when drainingthe water may cause a scald and other accidents.

It displays the steam pressure inside the boiler. The Steam Pressure Display includes the AnalogIndicator and the Digital Indicator. For the analog, fine scales are applied for indicationwhile the digital version makes displays by units.

How to Read Meter

■Steam Pressure Display

It refers to the amount of water remaining insidethe boiler. To display the water level, there are the watergauge display and the status monitor from adisplay screen. Unless the amount of water is maintained throughthe water gauge display while the boiler is running,it alerts the abnormality state to keep the waterlevel safe. The status monitor displays the status ofelectrodes for water level inspection.

Instructions for More Convenience (Program Functions)

Program Settings ModePress and hold the Data Switch.

1. Press the Data Switch and select the ProgramSettings mode. Press and hold the Data Switch forlonger than 2 seconds to bring up the ProgramSettings mode.

2. Press the Data Switch and flip through the list.Select the Program Setting 1 (or Setting 2).

3. Use the Select Switch to select the start time.You can edit time by 10-minute basis.

4. Press the Data Switch and set the cursor on theend time.

5. Use the Select Switch to select the start time.If the start time and the end time fall on thesame time, it considers there is no time rangewhen combustion is prohibited. (This equals thecase when no program is set.)

6. Press the Data Switch to complete the settings. If you edit the program operation time whileoperating a program, the program will beoperated based on the newly-applied time setting.

This function sets a boiler on a combustion mode only when the steam is needed and on astandby mode if there is no need with the abnormality detection function on. The program settings offer the Program Setting 1 and the Program Setting 2. The standby modecan be set twice a day.

In case of Possible destruction by freezing

* Each part of boiler is made of hot temp. materials.Never touch other part than water tube blow, whichmay cause a scald.

* Do not open water tube blow abruptly, which may leadto a burn by means of abrupt eruption of hot water.

When a boiler is not used for a long period

In case of the standstill, consult our A/S office any time without fail.

In case a boiler is not used for a long time a proper preservation and control for the boiler isvery important.When the boiler comes to a standstill the concern about the maintenance & repair of theboiler tends to be negligent.Without good preservation condition of water tube during the standstill of the boiler somecorrosions may be deteriorated dangerously.The preservation method is classified into the full water one in application of the waterremoved from remained oxygen and the drying one by maintaining the inside of the boiler.

1. Check remained chemicals through looking intomedicinal fluid tank.

2. In case remined amount is small, insert an indicated inputamount of cleaning chemicals into the medicinal fluidtank through weighing it together with our A/S staff.

4. Loosen air drain V/V of the chemicals injection P/P.

5. Open the pressure check cover in the circuit breakerand turn the forced chemical injection switch on.* The chemical injection pump starts to operate and thechemicals including air will come out by the air-bleed. Once the air is completely soaked out of the pump,only the chemicals will come out.

6. Once the air is completely soaked out of the pump, onlythe chemicals will come out.

7. Wipe out the air-bleed of the chemical injection pump.

8. Turn off the forced chemical injection switch and closethe pressure-check cover.

9. Place the tube for air drain to the original location.

10. Check if the chemicals are leaked out or not.In case of their leakage, wash them with soft clothcleanly and remove the cause for the leakage.

Inspection on soft water

Attention

Do not automatically mix the water in the poly beaker. It makes measuring the exact amount impossible.For specific measurement, drop 4 droplets of hardness indicator. Keep 20mL of water acquired fromsafety valve. The hardness indicator should be slowly dropped with the pipette vertically positioned. After shakingenough, get water until the amount reaches 50mL. Examine the color change immediately. After morethan 10 minutes, color change becomes dull with exact measurement failed.

1. Previously, discharge about 2L of water powerfullyfrom the safety valve (excreting congested water)

2. From safety valve, wash the accessory poly beakerwith water frequently.

3. Add 4 drips of indicator to the poly beaker(Samplingwater first may make it difficult to mix the hardnessindicator)

4. Get about 20mL of water from safety valve and pour itto the poly beaker. Shake it frequently.

5. After shaking it frequently, get the water from safetyvalve and pour it to the poly beaker until the amountreaches 50mL.

6. In case of red color, take the following inspection.Inspect the salt in a saline tank. In case the salt is not init, replenish the salt and in case a salty lump is formed,destroy it. Thereafter, regenerate it manually.

7. In case of red color despite of inspecting soft wateragain after above inspection, establish a proper remedyaccording to the manual of water softener.

2. Check if a steam pressure gauge displays 1.5 to 2kg/㎠or not.

3. OPERATION S/W as OFF.* Status Indication lamp is lit off and then pre purge isproceeded. (At this time, close steam pressure V/V.)

4. Open the blow valve of the boiler main body slowly andperform blow of the boiler water.

■ Blow operation

After checking if a boiler stops or not, operate a blow. A scald and etc. may take place badly(Even if the [Blow] lamp is on when the boiler is under operation, there’s no need to performblow immediately.A blow shall be operated on the next day from the standstill of the boiler.)

For blow operation, make sure that the instructions of our A/S staff shall be observed fullywithout fail.

Claning of water supply strainer

To Air-Bleed Water Pump

The air-bleed valve of the water pump may vary from specifications. Before use, have it examined by our maintenance manager. Do not operate the boiler before the air-bleed is finished. If the boiler is under operationwithout replenishing water properly, the boiler may become damaged.

1. [If the buzzer set off and the status display lamp in redis switched on (Alarm)], follow the operations specifiedin no. 1 through no. 3.

2. Open the water valve.

3. Open the air-bleed valve of the water pump.RWater mixed with air will come out of the air-bleedvalve.Once the air is bled, only water will come out.

4. Check if the air is blocked and only water comes out.

5. Close the air-bleed valve of the water pump.

Warning

RThe water in the water pipe is of high temperature when the boiler is for high temperature useor for drain collection. Therefore, avoid engaging in any works before the water pipe of theboiler fully cools down (about 2 hours after the boiler stopped). Otherwise, it may lead to burnaccidents.

Repair and service

A letter of guarantee in this prodnct is not available. It will be handed over to you by our A/Sstaft after filling in the specified matters when starting a boiler so that you are kindlyrequested to keep it through checking them thoroughly.Guarantee period is one year from purchase day. Since some repairs shall be covered on chargebasis even within guarantee period, you shall consult our A/S staft for the repair and servicewithout fail.For the repair after guarantee period, consult the corresponding A/S office. If the functionworks normally through repair the repair will be treated on user’s charge basis.Contact our A/S office for the detailed matters and other problems on A/S.
