The purpose of this document is to define the rules which have to be followed to prepare PID's, in thabsence of specific requirements on the subject from Client in the Contract. hen such requiremen

e!ist, the" have to be followed, and the present document shall be modified accordin#l".

II. INFORMATION TO BE INCLUDED ON PI&D

VII. VESSELS AND TAN:S

. CONTROL VALVES

• Control valves shall be provided with bloc+ and b" pass valves if&

c. 6loc+ valve shall be selected as per pipin# class(d. 6")pass valves shall be #lobe up to K/ and full bore for lar#er diameters(

e. 1eference diameter for bloc+ valves is the si:e of the line on which the valve is located(f. 1eference diameter for b")pass valve is the upstream line.

In case of lar#e difference between si:es of control valve and downstream line *due to flashin# in a ran

out of that #iven in the table, the downstream bloc+ valve shall be equal to or one si:e smaller than t pipe.

The si:e of the b")pass valve has to be selected carefull" if it has an impact on a downstream reli

valve.

I. SAFET' VALVES

and be accessible for chec+ and maintenance purposes. henever the protected equipment  provided with a demister pad, the safet" valve shall be installed on the vessel, upstream of t

demister.

VI. VALVES AT BATTER' LIMITS
