PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS "ARKITOOL 2012"

For the correct operation of the "ARKITool" is necessary for your computer or PC meets the following conditions or requirements:

Operating System:

The operating system of your computer must be Windows NT 4.0, XP, Vista or Windows 7. The only operating system to work is 64-bit Windows 7.

The "ARKITool" does not install or register any library itself within the computer operating system. All files "ARKITool" are contained within the folder in which you choose to install the software.

If you use Windows Vista or Windows 7, we recommend that you disable the "User Account

Control(UAC)" before installing ARKITool. This control(UAC) prevents some files and libraries are properly registered on your computer.

To turn off User Account Control Windows UAC simply type in the box in the Windows start menu called "Search programs and files"(see picture).

You will see a screen with a slider that will have to cut way down to disable UAC. Then need to restart Windows to make the change effective.

The "ARKITool" Windows uses these libraries, so you should ensure you have these libraries installed on your computer to work with ARKITool. In case of not having installed the installation process prompts you to install.

These libraries can download them from our own website at the following address:

CAD Software: AutoCAD, BricsCAD, GstarCAD, ZWCAD:

ARKITool is a "plug-in" or "vertical application" that works within the AutoCAD environment, BricsCAD, GstarCAD or ZwCAD(see compatibility commands for each CAD software).

It is therefore absolutely essential to have a version of AutoCAD or any CAD programs listed above.

Supported versions to work with "ARKITOOL 2012" are:

AutoCAD*: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 or 2012.

BricsCAD: version 12. GstarCAD: 2012 version.

Some commands "ARKITool" only work in modern versions of AutoCAD(usually from AutoCAD 2007). In this case you will be informed at each command compatibility with

different versions of AutoCAD. Some commands may not be operating in other programs other than AutoCAD because of the shortcomings of these programs own CAD.

ARKITool not modify any aspect of your AutoCAD program therefore should not take any special precautions when installing ARKITool. Likewise, when uninstalling "ARKITool" your AutoCAD program will not suffer any modification or alteration.

ATTENTION: Only if you choose the automatic loading of "ARKITool" software modify a CAD program file that you use. The modified file is as follows, depending on your CAD program:

CAD Software? Directory? File modified?

AutoCAD? Support? Acadxxxx.lsp(xxxx= 2006, 2007, etc.. depending on AutoCAD version number).

BricsCAD? Support? On_start_default.lsp? GstarCAD? . IcadAutoLoad.lsp?

NOTE: This file back to its original state if you use the automatic loading system "ARKITool" to download the software. the software creates a copy of the original called "temporary.lsp

"in the same directory as the original file. "ARKITool" will not modify any file in your CAD program if you do not use the automatic loading system ARKITool.

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION ARKITOOL

To install "ARKITool" on your computer to run the file "2012 ARKITool.exe "that you have previously downloaded from our website. The steps for installing the program "ARKITOOL 2012" are:

You must have Windows administrator rights to install ARKITool. If you install from a different user that is to run the software, read the chapter "How to Install ARKITool from the

administrator account" found later.

1. Select the language you want to install the software ARKITool:

2. The following shall indicate the location of your computer where you want to install the software ARKITool.

3. Now select the directory to save the configuration files ARKITool.

Note that the directory you choose for the setting of "ARKITool" will not be deleted when you uninstall the software.

4. After selecting the directories you have the possibility of allowing "ARKITool" or not to load automatically into your CAD program. In the list that appears on the CAD software you want to load ARKITool. If you do not check any programs you must manually load the menu "ARKITool" in your CAD program(see below explains how to manually load ARKITool).

5. By clicking on the Next button will begin to copy all the program files on your computer. If the copy is successful a window will appear indicating that the software is properly installed.

6. Finally pressing the button "Next" the software will run the software "Update on-line" "ARKITool" to install, if necessary, the latest enhancements of the program available on the web.

Note that the software is constantly improving and possibly the executable you are installing "ARKITool" does not contain such improvements.

IMPORTANT: If you have an antivirus program with "firewall" or "firewall" should give permission to the "Tool-Update.exe "to connect to Internet.

This installation process will create the following items on your computer:

1. New directory containing all the program files ARKITool. 2. New directory containing the configuration files ARKITool. 3. New entry in the list of Windows programs, called "ARKITOOL 2012" as you can see in

the picture:

4. New registry key of Windows, called: HKEY-CURRENT-USER \ Software \ Ideas and Programs, S.L.\ ARKITOOL 2012.

5. New shortcut icon on the Windows desktop, from which you can access the program "Setting ARKITOOL 2012"(see picture at right).??

How to install "ARKITool" from the administrator account:

To install "ARKITool" you must have administrator permissions or at least write permissions in the Windows registry. If the user using usually do not have these permissions you can install "ARKITool" from the admin user and then switch to regular user. In this case do the following:

1. Open Windows as an administrator. 2. Install "ARKITool" as explained in the previous chapter. 3. Open the Windows Registry. This type REGEDIT in the Windows bar called "Search

programs and files". 4. You will get the software "Registry Editor". Here you have to export the key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Ideas and Programs, s.l.\ ARKITOOL 2012 This will create a file with .REG(remember where you saved it).

5. Now open Windows user with the commonly used. 6. Double click the file .REG that generated in the previous step.

Can now use "ARKITool" with your regular user.

Removal process:

To uninstall "ARKITool" just have to go to "Control Panel" and then the option "Uninstall a program" select the entry called "ARKITOOL 2012". The removal of the "ARKITool" is automatic, however it is possible that

Before uninstalling consider the following:

If you used the system to automatically load "ARKITool" in your CAD program:

In this case it is recommended that you use the software "ARKITool Settings" to download the software from here "ARKITool" your CAD program. This software will restore the original file modified for this load.

If you have used or loaded pallets ARKITool:

Note that "ARKITool" have changed the variable indicating the location of the tool palette in your CAD program. Therefore, before you uninstall "ARKITool" we recommend that you check the "AutoCAD Palettes" menu of "ARKITool" for the software re-routed to the original blades.

If you have already uninstalled "ARKITool" without regard to this recommendation, you can manually as follows: Open a drawing in your CAD program and type the following(Please type it exactly as it appears here):

(setvar "* _toolPalettePath"(strcat(getvar "roamablerootprefix") "Support \ \ ToolPalette"))

Conservation Directory "Setting ARKITOOL 2012":

As indicated above, the software "ARKITool" will create a special directory to store program settings(blocks, details, databases, etc.). Uninstalling the software "ARKITool" this directory is not deleted. If you want to keep this directory on your computer simply delete it from Windows Explorer.

LOAD "ARKITOOL" AS CAD PROGRAM

The burden of "ARKITool" in its usual CAD program can be automatically or manually. During the installation process and was asked about this, but if you want to change the form of load, we indicate how to proceed in both cases:

AUTOMATIC Load "ARKITool" in AutoCAD, BricsCAD, etc.:

Run the software in "Setting ARKITOOL 2012" from the shortcut icon directory on the desktop. Displays a dialog box like the one you see below:

In the list "A" version or versions of AutoCAD that you want to load "ARKITool" automatically. Then press the "B" to enforce the load.

When you open your CAD software program "ARKITool" will automatically load.

In this case it does not matter if you check OK or Cancel as changes have been carried out by clicking on the button labeled "B".

To download "ARKITool" your CAD program you simply remove the existing brand in the "A" and click on the "B".

Load MANUAL "ARKITool" in AutoCAD, BricsCAD, etc.:

In order to use most of the commands and functions of the "ARKITool" you simply need to load the drop-down menu "ARKITool" in your CAD program.

Please, NEVER use the command "MENU" to load AutoCAD menu "ARKITool" because they cause the AutoCAD menu disappears and only left menu ARKITool.

To make this process shall follow the following steps:

1. Open AutoCAD, BricsCAD, etc.. 2. Type in the command line:

MENULOAD or _MENULOAD(with underscore in front).

3. Below you will see a window like the following:

4. Click on the button "Browse" and locate within the directory "ARKITool" a directory called "Menu". In this directory find the directory of your language. Inside this directory, select the following file:

Dropdown menu ARKITool Plus 2012.

CAD Software? File menu to load.

AutoCAD 2007 or higher? ARKITool Plus.CUI or ARKITool.CUIX?

BricsCAD 12? ARKITool Plus.CUI? GstarCAD 201? ARKITool Plus.MNU?

5. Then click on "Upload" and drop down menu of "ARKITool" should appear on top of AutoCAD.

6. The "ARKITool" bar has icons of the Ribbon(ribbon) in AutoCAD. To load both the bars of icons like the ribbon to be used again or _MENULOAD MENULOAD command to load the menu file that contains.

UPDATE ON-LINE ARKITOOL

The "ARKITool" has an automatic update system that lets you always have the latest version of this program.

Please, if you have an antivirus or firewall(firewall), please make sure the software-Update Tool has permission to connect to the Internet. This update does not send or collect any

information from your computer.

Updating "ARKITool" automatically:

To update "ARKITool" you must run the update software:

From AutoCAD: Select the entry "Update on-line" drop down menu ARKITool.

From Windows: Select the entry "Update on-line" you can find at Home + Program + 2012 ARKITool. or the Windows desktop.

Regardless of the chosen system the following window:

A: Here you can view the page of the improvements or corrections to the program without updating the software.

B: To automatically update your program simply by pressing this button.

C: From this option you can update the software manually(as explained below).

D: This list will show the files that are updated.

Update without an internet connection:

If you do not have Internet access should use the manual update system. To do this click on the "C" of the previous image. The window change appearance(as shown in the following image):

STEP 1: From a computer with Internet connection: From this window you can download the update files to bring the computer that has no connection to the Internet. Press button "B" to download files from Internet. Set the destination of these files with the options set as "C" in the image.

STEP 2: From a computer without Internet connection: Click on the tab "A" image to update the software without having an Internet connection. The options shown in the picture below:

Select in the "B" is the directory where the update files you downloaded in step 1. Then click on the "A" and the software will automatically update.

Automatically checking for updates:

The "ARKITool" checks, by default, once daily for new updates of the program. This check is performed when you use a command ARKITool. If the software detects that updates an info bubble will appear as the image on the right.

To update its "ARKITool" just have to click on the info bubble and the window shown above update.

You can configure this setting as is done in software in "Setting ARKITool". Every few days may indicate that the software wants to check for new updates and if you want you can disable this option.

Backup files updated:

ARKITool creates a backup of all files that are changed to upgrade the program on-line.

These backups are created within a directory called "Security" found in the directory ARKITool. Within the directory security software creates a directory with the date on which you perform the upgrade and it saves all modified files during upgrade.

If you want to restore the previous state of your program ARKITool, simply copy the files from the Security for the day of the update on the program directory ARKITool.

SETTINGS ARKITOOL

How to run commands "ARKITool" in AutoCAD, BricsCAD, GstarCAD, etc..:

Arkiplan commands can be executed or used in various ways:

Drop-down menu: Simply select the command you want from the drop down ARKITool.

Ribbon(Ribbon): In the top of the AutoCAD window appears Ribbon. This possibility is only available in AutoCAD 2010, 2011 or 2012. Mark on the option called "ARKITool" and you will see the following:

Tool Palettes: Load the tool palettes "ARKITool" by clicking on the "Palettes ARKITool" drop down menu. You'll see a palette as you can see in the picture.

To view all available tool palette click on the lower right corner to reveal a menu with all palettes.

To re-use the AutoCAD tool palette choose "AutoCAD palettes" from the dropdown menu Arkiplan.

Utility Locator: In the dropdown menu Arkiplan click on "Utility Locator". In this window you can see all the commands "ARKITool" and run any of them simply by clicking on the desired command line.

Now type the command name: In the AutoCAD command line type the command name "ARKITool" you want to run.

Typing the abbreviation of the command: You can run a command "ARKITool" by typing the abbreviation that you previously assigned to the command through the utility locator.

Note that some abbreviations indicated by you may be in conflict with the abbreviations defined in AutoCAD.

The abbreviations set to "ARKITool" are not saved in the file ACAD.PGP to avoid making modifications to your current version of AutoCAD.

Configuration Warehouses:

Virtually all the dialog boxes of the "ARKITool" have a system called "Store Settings". This system allows you to save the current configuration of choices in a dialog box under a name.

In all instances of "ARKITool" may find the store at the top right of the window. In this store we can do the following:

SAVE CONFIGURATION: Simply type the name you want to save the settings in the "A" and then click on the disk "C". In this way the whole window settings will be saved forever.

RECALL SETUP: To retrieve a previously saved configuration(in this or another drawing) simply click on the drop-down list will show all available configurations. Select the Settings list to restore. Note that all current settings window will be lost and will be replaced by the values stored in the configuration had recovered.

REMOVE CONFIGURATION: To delete a no longer want to simply click on the cross "D". Here a list where you can select the settings you want to delete.

All these settings are saved in the Windows registry. Specifically, saved in the: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Ideas and Programs, S.L.\ ARKITOOL 2012 \

Configuration \ Default \ Storage ". Can export this registry key to take these settings to other computers that have "ARKITool" installed.

Configuration program ARKITool:

ARKITool has a program that lets you manage some aspects of the program settings. To run this program select the "Settings" drop down menu within ARKITool. The following dialog:

In this window you can:

Load Tab menu ARKITool: Allows you to upload and download menu "ARKITool" within their usual CAD program, as explained above.

Tab Update on-line: Activate the check for updates automatically every x days.

Parameters tab of the commands: Will allow you to set specific parameters for each program command ARKITool.

Export Settings Tab: Will allow you to export to a file with .Configuration REG:

List of favorite commands. Command List of abbreviations. Stores configuration. Parameters of the command.

On another computer to import the exported configuration simply double-click the file .That contains the configuration REG.

In the event that double-clicking on the file does not update the settings do the following: In Windows go to Start + Run and type "REGEDIT". In the window that opens go to the File

menu and choose Import. There must select the file containing the configuration.

SEARCH COMMANDS ARKITOOL

ARKITool has a system whereby you can learn all the commands of the program and set their abbreviations, etc.. This program is the "utility locator" that you can use from the drop down ARKITool.

In implementing this program will display the following window:

This window has the following:

A: Here you can write in order to filter the commands that appear in the list of commands. B: Shows the original names of the commands. C: Displays the command group it belongs to each command. D: Here you can type the abbreviation you want to assign keys to each of the commands.

So that you can run that command AutoCAD by typing in the letters you enter here. E: Here you see the video explanation of how each command. F: It shows the description of each command. G: Checking this box will display the commands grouped by the group they belong. H: From here you can create a text file with all commands that are currently displayed in

the list. I: Choose the paragraph commands to filter when looking for commands. J: Indicates the number of commands that are currently showing in the list.

You can run a given command simply by double clicking on the command line you want to run in AutoCAD. AutoCAD must be open and waiting for a command to run a command ARKITool.

By clicking the right mouse button on a specific command line you can add this command to the list of favorites. If you place a command as favorite 3 things will:

1. This command appears on the general list with a "star" indicates that this is a favorite command.

2. This command appears in the list of favorite commands from this window. In this way you can quickly see the commands you use most.

3. This command appears in the Favorites section within their group in the dropdown menu "ARKITool" within AutoCAD, as shown in the picture.

Since the favorites tab of this window you can:

1. Remove a command from the list of favorites.

2. Display a custom title for each favorite commands so that the title will appear in the drop down menu in AutoCAD and you can quickly locate each command in the menu.

The abbreviations defined for each command are stored in the Windows registry, the key:

"HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Ideas and Programs, S.L.\ ARKITOOL 2012 \ Configuration \ Default \ ARKITool \ Abbreviations ".

The list of favorite commands are saved in the Windows registry, the key: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Ideas and Programs, S.L.\ ARKITOOL 2012 \ Configuration \

Default \ ARKITool \ Favorites "

Can export these registry keys to get these settings to other computers that have "ARKITool" installed.

DESCRIPTION OF EACH COMMAND AND UTILITY

The "ARKITool" has over 450 tools, commands, and miscellaneous income. Every so often new features are added to the program. The purpose of this manual is to explain the general aspects of the program ARKITool.

From the "Utilities Locator" you can browse and learn to handle any program command Arkiplan. You just have to locate the tool you want and the list itself click on the video icon. As shown below will be shown a video explaining that command.
