Challenges with Manual Entry

Duplication of EA codes and household numbers

The use of F2 key in IMPS to force values that are out of range.

Transposition errors were prominent Incomplete entry of household records Incomplete entry of modules Data Verification was not effective.

Benefit of Manual Data Entry Approach

Build institutional capacity by the purchase of more microcomputers which can be used for other activities after the census.

Creates employment facility and training for more people. Data can be easily identified and keyed. Inconsistent data can be identify and resolved before

keying. Relatively less expensive Data was processed within reasonable period of eight

months.
