Trails

Woodland Dunes Nature Center/ Aurora Medical Center:

NEW July ’14 East Twin River Segment:

Cty B to the Mishicot esker for a total of 3 miles.

Southern Point Beach Trail:

Go east on 22nd St. to the end. Turn left onto Neshotah Rd. Turn right onto Park Rd. You can park at the end. In 300 yards, you’ll see the beach where you can continue north.

Northern Point Beach Trail:

From Hwy 42 north of Two Rivers, turn right (east) onto Cty V. for 2.2 miles. Park on the right shoulder near the trailhead. (On the left is the Ice Age Trail through the Rahr School Forest.) Trail goes 1.5 miles south to parking lot across Cty O from the en-trance road to Point Beach.

Tisch Mills Webers Woods:

0.6 miles west of Tisch Mills or 0.4 miles east of Cty B on Cty BB. Trail is on the south side. Park along the road. You will need to ford Tisch Mills Creek (no problem when frozen). Be alert for blue blazes that will lead north back to Cty BB, 0.1 miles from the entrance. About a 1 mile loop.

Tisch Mills Kohnle Segment:

East of Tisch Mills turn north onto Mill St. Park at the end. Trail is 1.5 miles north along the East Twin River to Nuclear Rd. (no parking).

Mishicot Esker and Fields:

North of Mishicot, park on Oak St. and walk west on Pit Rd. about 500 yards. The trail is on the right: up, along, and down the forty-foot high esker, around the field, across Cty B, and between the fields to exit onto Princl Rd., about 1.5 miles total.

   

   

 

From Mishicot take Cty B for 2.5 miles, turn west onto Hillview to trailhead on the west side of the East Twin River. The trail begins on the east side south of Hillview. Trail is 1.3 miles south along the East Twin River to Rockledge Rd. You can continue SE to Princl Rd. south to woodlot and east
