I’m Shaun a second year Philosopher and the basic gist of this manifesto and my glaring mug up there is to get you to vote for me in the forthcoming elections (as are all these lovely other posters around me I imagine, that or linkline). In all seriousness I am standing for the position and think I would do a great job for all of the following reasons: 1. I’m enthusiastic and committed to the job 2. I’m involved in the sports and extra-curricular side of Sidney life and so am aware what sort of things need to be done 3. I spend a lot of time in the TV room and Room on R so appreciate the need for good facilities (De Frev is a trek for a mid-afternoon nap/ Sainsburys pizza eating) 4. I also spend a lot of time eating in hall and so have a vested interest in putting across everyone’s ideas for improving hall 5. Basically I’m keen to do the job and having run the bar for the past year am used to having to sit in meetings and discuss things with members of college 6. I have experience of obtaining sponsorship for SSRFC and my rugby club at home so I’m not clueless as to what to do 7. I’m approachable and will take people’s views seriously and take them forward to the respective committees A few basic ideas for what I’m going to be doing too are: 1. Continuing the good work currently going on improving facilities in the TV room

I’m Shaun a second year Philosopher and the basic gist of this

manifesto and my glaring mug up there is to get you to vote for me in the forthcoming elections (as are all these lovely other posters around me I imagine, that or linkline). In all seriousness I am standing for the position and think I would do a great job for all of the following reasons:

1. I’m enthusiastic and committed to the job2. I’m involved in the sports and extra-curricular side of Sidney life and so am

aware what sort of things need to be done3. I spend a lot of time in the TV room and Room on R so appreciate the need

for good facilities (De Frev is a trek for a mid-afternoon nap/ Sainsburys pizza eating)

4. I also spend a lot of time eating in hall and so have a vested interest in putting across everyone’s ideas for improving hall

5. Basically I’m keen to do the job and having run the bar for the past year am used to having to sit in meetings and discuss things with members of college

6. I have experience of obtaining sponsorship for SSRFC and my rugby club at home so I’m not clueless as to what to do

7. I’m approachable and will take people’s views seriously and take them forward to the respective committees

A few basic ideas for what I’m going to be doing too are:

1. Continuing the good work currently going on improving facilities in the TV room

2. Trying to sort out G3 and potentially get some kind of lockers in there for equipment

3. Ensuring the continued resurgence of the Kiev in hall (a subject close to my heart) and any other suggestions people have for improving hall or housekeeping

4. Make sure we get as good value for money as possible for our rooms

So thanks for reading this far, hopefully I’ve done enough to convince you to vote for me. If not then come find me in person and I’ll try and do it then!

There are some things SSCSU money can’t buy, for everything else there’s Shaun Cook (attempting to get sponsorship)
