Mission

Manifest is Columbia College Chicago’s

signature event that showcases graduating senior and graduate student work.  As an annual tradition and defining ritual,

Manifest also serves to bring the entire community together to celebrate our creative spirit and to develop long-lasting, memorable relationships between students, the college and our community

Goals

•Showcase graduating senior and graduate student work. (showcases)•Create community and tradition for all students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and guests. (festival, graduation party, spectacle)•Instill a sense of school pride and connection to the college in our student body and our community. (festival, graduation party, spectacle)

•Increase alumni participation. (alumni bazaar, alumni lounge, graduation party)•Showcase and position the college as a first choice for prospective students. (showcases, festival, spectacle)•Focus the festival components such as spectacle, music,

performance art, and arts activities on engagement opportunities for non-graduating students, alumni, faculty/staff.•Ensure clarity and distinction between the showcases and festival in order to elevate the academic work within the celebration. (marketing/signage, showcases, festival)

Lobbies and Welcome Centers

• Trained ambassadors will tag/identify and track all participants (faculty/staff, students, graduates, alumni, parents, prospective parents and students, new parents/students, trustees, VIP’s and guests.•Ambassadors will deliver Manifest Chronicle supplement and educate/direct guests based on the guest interest.•Ambassadors will distribute Manifest giveaways and direct guests to ShopColumbia to purchase t-shirts.

12:00 noon – 5:00 PM Official festival kick off under the Big Top @ noon

To include: Manifest design winner, Hack your Manifest T-shirt winner, Big Mouth winner, Student group of the year winner, etc.

5:00 – 7:00 PM Departmental Receptions, Showcases and ArtWalk

7:00 – 8:00 PM Spectacle Fortuna Convergence

Spectacle participants around the college leave their location and move to the Big Top

8:00 – 9:30 PM Manstage Student Bands (top winners) at Big Top

8:00 – 11:00 PM Alumni, Graduate, Faculty/Staff Party
