It was one of those typical wind and dust-ridden days, on Wednesday, 1 October 1924 in the small fishing town of Walvis Bay that Theodore ‘Tetje’ Woker and Walter Maertins opened the doors of a shipping and forwarding company, called Maertins & Woker Limited. Over the span of nine decades this small company developed into a premier logistics and marine industry leader known as Manica Group Namibia.
