DESCRIPTION
This exhibit, filed by Chiquita Brands in the mass tort case, concerns an alleged "script of questions and answers" for Gregorio Mangones Lugo ("Carlos Tijeras"), a witness in both the Dole and Chiquita cases. (see page 11) A judge in California has ruled that the script is not attorney work product and must be produced in discovery.Also of note, on page 9, William Wichmann (of Conrad & Scherer) expresses his concerns to Stephen Terrell (of Lipscomb & Lack) that another attorney in the Chiquita litigation, Jonathan Reiter, was "offering large sums of money for information (and more)," and may be paying a witness in the "smuggling" scandal, which is a reference to the Otterloo.
