Notes on the Mandolin Neck
Chromatic Scale
The alphabet letters A through G….Place a sharp or flat between each letter…Except between B and C and between E and F. On each instrument the strings start on different letters….like mandolin starts on a G.so G then G# then A then A#…and so on….
These are called Accidentals. if you are going up in pitch its called a sharp and if you are going down in pitch its called a flat
