Meeting Date Change

The executive committee took a pole and decided to change the July meeting to the second Friday (July 10th) . It was agreed that the Forth of July weekend would hamper attendance as many like to spend the weekend with family and friends. Hope all can make the rescheduled meeting and also have a safe and enjoyable Independence Day holiday.

Blue Claws Game Outing

LAST CALL FOR TICKETS for the Blue Claws outing to be on Tuesday August 11th at 7:00pm. Cost is $8.00 for Seniors (60 and up), all others are $10.00. Seniors also get a food voucher for a free hotdog, chips and a soda. 2/3 the membership of the club falls into the senior category. The food voucher will be available at the game so get there early. Guests are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Peter Murcko’s Departure

Peter has announced that he is departing from the club to pursue other interests. He will remain as a life member but will step down from any and all committees he is a part of. He also will vacate his spot on the Executive Committee. Attached is his letter to the club stating such. Peter did plenty of work behind the scenes to help the club move forward. His absence will open up a lot positions that need to be filled. Peter lists the responsibilities in his letter therefor I will not be redundant. I’m certain we have members that will step up and take responsibility for the tasks Pete performed.

Coffee Klatsch

The monthly coffee klatsch will be suspended for the Summer months as the tun out is usually low. Peter Murcko was the brain child and also the coordinator of this activity. In the future we need a member to take the reigns to continue this informal get together of members for some coffee and conversation. The responsibility is not difficult as you will be required to contact the Corresponding secretary with the date and location, thats it! The location has been Mikes deli in Wall and they welcome the business. If you want to keep this going please let it be known at the next meeting.

Auction Results

The Auction at the last meeting was a great success. There were plenty of items donated to the effort by generous members. Gregg Brown was the auctioneer and brought some excitement into the bidding. The club netted almost $400 from the proceeds and would like to thank those that donated and also those that purchased.

Suzie Girl Fluke Trip

The trip is set for Saturday July 18th. We will be leaving the dock at 7:00 am sharp due bridge openings. Please arrive early !! The boat will return at 3:00 pm. $55 per person includes tip the crew. There are a few openings still left so act quick if you plan to attend. Contact Chris (Fluke Master) Jewell @ (732) 616-7123 to reserve a spot. The trip is open to guests .

Bucktail Boys

BuckTail Boys Keefe Vallaro is an avid fisherman who has been fishing NY & NJ waters for the past 30

years. He developed his love for fishing at an early age fishing for black fish, striped bass, flounder and

fluke from Sheepshead Bay with an occasional offshore Tuna adventure trolling the canyons. His

true passion developed off the Jersey Shore when he began bucktailing for doormat fluke. Being an

Tournament Cancelled

Due to a situation beyond our control the Fourth of July Fluke Tournament has been cancelled. Now we can fish the holiday weekend with no pressure.

Weigh Slips

Lets not forget to get credit for that big fish. Make certain a weigh slip is submitted either at a meeting or via email.

Fillets For Fish Fry

Lets not forget to put some fillets on the side for the club fish fry. Any amount is welcome.
