The 3B’s Research Group - Biomaterials, Biodegradables & Biomimetics www.3bs.uminho.pt – from University of Minho, Portugal, directed by Prof. Rui L. Reis is organizing a training initiative on Intellectual Property. This training is being organized on the scope of the European FP7 REGPOT project entitled POLARIS: Unlocking the research potential of 3Bs Group, in Nanomedicine field to strengthen its competitive position at the European level, and is scheduled to take place at Avepark facilities on 16th -17th March 2015. This POLARIS training course will focus on the “Managing Intellectual Property and Innovation”, including all aspects of international IP law, the different IP protection tools available, entrepreneurship and different types of innovation strategies to achieve a higher level of commercial exploitation of the scientific achievements. Additionally, it will be discussed the role of IP in the commercial exploitation of the developments generated by R&D, with particular focus on the biomedical area. (See below keynotes speakers).

O grupo de Investigação 3B’s, Biomateriais, Biodegradavéis e Biomiméticos (www.3bs.uminho.pt) da Universidade do Minho, dirigido pelo Prof. Rui L. Reis está a organizar um curso de formação na área de propriedade intelectual.

Este curso decorrerá no Auditório do Avepark – Parque de Ciência e Tecnologia nos dias 16 e 17 de Março de 2015 e será organizado no âmbito do Projecto Europeu FP7 REGPOT - POLARIS “Unlocking the research potential of 3Bs Group, in Nanomedicine field to strengthen its competitive position at the European level”.

O principal foco do curso é a Gestão da Propriedade Intelectual e Inovação, incluindo todos os aspectos de leis internacionais relacionadas com propriedade intelectual (PI); diferentes formas de proteção da PI; empreendedorismo; e várias estratégias de inovação para conseguir explorar comercialmente os desenvolvimentos científicos. Adicionalmente, será discutido o papel da PI na exploração comercial dos desenvolvimentos gerados pela investigação, com enfâse particular na área biomédica.  (Abaixo lista de palestrantes convidados)
