Manager User Guide

All Performance Reviews must be completed online. The online process allows employees to review their evaluations electronically, make comments, and digitally sign the form acknowledging receipt.

1. Log in to the Performance Review Site by visiting: https://bpm2012.tulane.edu/. The username and password is the same as Tulane email.

2. Click the Blank Forms icon.

3. Click Performance Management- Initiate a review as a Manager.

4. Enter the employee’s Tulane ID number for the employee being reviewed. Note: Tulane ID numbers may be found by logging on to Gibson Online and then clicking on Tulane ID Search under the Staff tab.

Select whether or not the employee has Management Responsibilities. Then click Validate. The employee’s name will then populate.

5. After clicking Validate, click OK.

6. Click Edit Employee Results.

7. Add Key Responsibilities from Job Description and the Results associated with those responsibilities.

8. Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the Results Rating. Then, click Save.

9. Click Edit Tulane Values.

10. Select the Rating for each of the 6 categories. Then click Save.

11. Click Edit Growth.

12. Complete sections Description of Skills/Knowledge Growth and Description of Growth in Contribution. Select Overall Growth Rating. Then click Save.

13. Click Add Comment.

14. Add comments and then click Save.

15. Click the arrow on the right to scroll over. Click Add Job Description.

16. Click the icon (Click to add file).

17. Click Browse.

18. Select the document to be attached by selecting the drive, document, and then clicking Open.

19. After selecting the document, click Upload.

20. After document is uploaded, click Save.

21. If you would like to print the review, click Print Review.

22. Click Open. The review will then be opened as a Word document.

23. Click the arrow on the right to view the remaining tabs. OPTIONAL- The reviewing manager has the option of routing the performance review to his/her manager before the review is routed to the employee. The manager’s manager may offer suggestions to the reviewing manager (verbally) and return to the manager for correction OR submit directly to the employee without additional suggestions for the reviewing manager. If you would like to include the Manager’s Manager, click Submit to Mgr of Mgr.

24. OPTIONAL (continuation of step 23- submitting to Manager’s Manager)

Enter the Manager’s Manager TUID number. Note: Tulane ID numbers may be found by logging on to Gibson Online and then clicking on Tulane ID Search under the Staff tab.

Then click Validate. The Manager’s Manager’s name will then populate. Then click Submit. After you click Submit, the review will be sent to the Manager’s Manager. You will be able to view the review on your Watch List.

25. Click Submit to Employee.

26. Click Yes. The review will then be sent to the employee.

The review will be available under your Watch List in BPM.
