• Andre Farrugia FCII AIRM Chartered Insurance Practitioner

• Initiated insurance career in 1992 working for an insurance company

• Currently – Director of Studies at MITC• Visiting lecturer at MCAST• Obtained the Associateship of the Chartered Insurance

Institute later achieving the Fellowship of the same Institute• Furthered studies in Risk Management obtaining the

Associateship of the Institute of Risk Management and currently completing the Fellowship with the same Institute

• Preparing to embark on a PhD on Insurance with Napier University Scotland

ObjectivesTo provide an International Centre for Education that caters for the professional requirements of students on a world-wide basis.

To assist students studying for Insurance, Risk Management and Financial Services qualifications and other related studies.

To further increase the professional status of employees both locally and overseas.

Functions• MITC serves as the academic body for participants to

obtain certification, diplomas and qualifications • Provides a professional qualifications ladder• Provides a stepping stone in obtaining internationally

recognised qualifications (example: The MITC Applied Insurance Studies Diploma is fully recognised by the Chartered Insurance Institute, other MITC products attract CII credits)

• Serves as a medium for prospective employment• Analysis industry training needs and delivers

programmes to meet these requirements effectively
