Situational Risk

Behavioural Risk

Age, experience, mileage, hours, incident history and licence status

Aggression, driving excitement, hazard monitoring, driving concerns, work

related risk, driving fatigue, confrontation, driving focus and self-evaluation.

Impression Management

There are no correct answers to the DRI. It asks for your opinion. However

we can, even subconsciously, try to answer the questions correctly. This

tendency would show up as high risk under impression management.

Zurich Insurance State…

Direct costs include 3rd party claims and repairs. These are usually

reclaimed from insurance

Indirect costs are often not reclaimable. They include:

Downtime, vehicle hire, replacement staff, sickness pay,

recuperation, placating customers who were let down, damaged

goods, future training needs, legal costs and damaged reputation

For every £1.00 spent on direct costs

£8.00 - £36.00 is spent on indirect costs

(figures from the International Loss Control Institute)
