Making Use of Learning opportunity Learning and sharing program about the diplomacy Training Program Human Rights opportunity I am making use the learning opportunity to my organization and community people by sharing the linkage and tools of human rights and diplomacy to protect human rights. To inform about the opportunity of Australia Award Scholarship, Diplomacy Training Program and provide orientation about the tools of and mechanism of human rights. After all, how we can strength our community and communication to stand against human rights violation From Bangladesh Indigenous Students Action Forum , We are planning and taking strategy for advocacy and orientation of Human Rights and tools mechanism s to protect human rights and stand against Human Rights Violation Learning and sharing program with the Executive Members of Kapaeeng Foundation. Date ; 25 September, 2019 Learning and sharing program with Physically-challenged Development Foundation at Dhaka University. There were about 50 students of volunteers and members. Venue: DUCSU, Dhaka University. Date : 5 September, 2019. Seeking Justice for Liana Popi Tripura who was died by road accident on 18 th October, 2019. Several Human chain were organized to bring killer driver under the law and the victim’s family can get justice for Popi Tripura. Bangladesh Indigenous Students Action Forum expressed solidarity in the procession and human chain for seeking justice. We are still seeking justice for Popi Tripura. Exchange cultural exposure program and community Visit On the behalf of Bangladesh Indigenous Students Action Forum, I organized an Exchange cultural exposure program and community Visit from 8 th October 11 th October, 2019 at Sunamganj. Total 40 students ( 17 students were female , 23 Students were Male ) from 8 diverse community visited at Sunamganj to see the scenario of human rights, exchange the indigenous culture and give orientation about Human Rights, our ethnic culture and language. On 8 th October, 2019 Bishwanbharpur Upazila, 3 Village peoples ( Hajong ) We have done community exposure program at two village: Kaitkona ( Hajong inhabited area ) 9 th October Tahirpur Upazila , Koraigora Village ( Hajong and Garo Inhabited area ), 10 th December at Khasi Family, Rajai village, Tahirpur, Sunamganj. Our previous advocacy was just movement. If there is any human rights violation occurrences, now we try to fight the violation in a strategic and effective ways. We are now taking support from Police administration in a lobby way, UNDP (Human Rights Program), National Human Rights Commission, human rights activists and NGOs.

  • We are doing our advocacy to diverse communities’ of people at rural level who are more vulnerable at

    human rights.

    Besides, of working at Bangladesh Indigenous Students Action Forum, now I am working as Youth Leader

    with Human Rights Program, UNDP at advocacy level to introduce our youths so that they can stand against

    any kind human rights violation at their communities.

    Some Program that I am working different communities youth people at advocacy level.

    On 20 October 2019, Indigenous People Development Service collaborating with Action Aid. Our program planning and motives is to promote Social Cohesion and Peace. Venue : TSC, University

    of Dhaka.

    25 October 2019 on 11th Founding Anniversary of Mohanogar Hajong Kollyan Samity, Dhaka 50 persons Hajong People from Dhaka, presented there. I focused in my speech on the meeting to

    be more concerned in practicing our language and culture. I encouraged youth that together we can

    fight against any kind violation of Human Rights. Venue: Mohammadpur, Dhaka.

    Human Rights Program, UNDP hosted a Training for Youth Leaders on Human Rights for Social Change. I participated as a Youth Leader to share the work experience and mechanism of Human

    Rights to the youth Participants. Date: 3-4 December, 2019. Venue: The Daily Star Cente, Dhaka.

    On 9th December, 2019, I participated as a panelist at National Youth Congress 2019, hosted by Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation supported by UNDP, to represent the Indigenous

    Youth and talk about on the issue of Human Rights and Gender Equality. There were more than 500 youth volunteers of distinguished communities and diverse background across the country. Bithika Hasan,

    (Gender Expert, and UNDP) moderated the panel discussion. Program Venue: Krishibid Institute

    Bangladesh

    On 10th December, 2019, (Human Rights Day) National Human Rights Commission collaborating with Human Rights Commission, UNDP organized a Round Table Discussion on Social Values

    and Human Rights: Role of Youth. Human Rights activists, Civil Society representative,

    representative from Police, Judicial administration, NGO Representatives, Youth from diverse

    Ethnic Communities and Gender, Persons with Disabilities, Human Rights Activists spoke out

    about the present situation human rights of their working communities, the challenges and it’s way

    forward. I participated as a youth human rights activist. I raised my voice on the issues of our

    (Hajong) community’s human rights situation, Land grabbing Problem and vulnerable situation of

    our (Hajong) language and culture

    Intercultural Dialogue, a cultural exchange program, has been organized by Indigenous Peoples Development Forum (IPDS) and supported by Action Aid. We have exchanged our cultural

    significance occasion among us discussed and taken plan how we move forward with practicing

    our cultures and language. Date: 14 December, 2019 . Venue: Nokmandi Community Center

    I am building strong network with different community’s Youth Leading People, who can share their human

    rights activities across the country.

  • Linkage formed with UN Human Rights Commission, National Human Rights Commission, Human Rights

    Program, UNDP, Action Aid , Manusher Jonno Foundation, Kapeeang Foundation.

    I think I am now able to implement advocacy activities differently because of the learning, compared to

    before.
