Making Media for bacteria cell culture (media prep)

1. Copy title of lab

2. Read page 71 and summarize this background info in at least 3 sentences. Title it background.

3. Copy purpose

4. Write procedure, do the calculation under part 1. You will be using a package of LB agar where the recipe is for 25 g for 1000 ml. (use m1/v1 = m2/v2) you will only make 50 mL.

5. Draw pictures for each step of the procedure, and give brief description of what each step is.

6. I will make the LB broth, just look/read at the procedure, so you know what I will give you.

7. Tomorrow, everything must be SUPER STERILE!
