With IMS standard processes, it hasbeen possible to combine the bestperformance of an LMS and third-partytools, providing lecurers and studentswith endless possibilities to get morecontent and functions that make thewhole educational path easier. This is how we do it in itslearning.

The Learning Tools Interoperability™ (LTI)specifications allow remote tools and content to beintegrated into a Learning Management System (LMS). As part of our ongoing commitment to interoperabilitywith third parties, we are improving how we work withLTI 1.1 and adding support for IMS LTI Deep Linking inmodules. This allows you to work with more tool andcontent providers directly from itslearning.

LTI Deep Linking capabilities

Now, you can use IMS LTI Deep Linking in itslearning toinsert content from third parties into the editor. Forexample, you can insert videos from Kaltura intoassignments, notes, pages and many other places. Youcan link to third-party tools, such as the Kaltura MediaGallery, directly from itslearning menus.

Seamless API and SIS Integration

Making the job easier for lecturers means never havingto say, “double entry.” The itslearning LMS automatesrostering and assessments passback with StudentInformation System (SIS), saving lecturers time andensuring data consistency across the board. All thiswithin the GDPR regulatory framework. We also offer avariety of integration options to meet the needs of yourinstitution, such as OneRoster, IMS-E, API and Clever.

Kaltura was successfully integrated in itslearning tosupport the academic programs at VIA UniversityCollege in Denmark. Today, more than 40 000 lecturersand students use the tool to create and share mediacontent easily while improving the user experience ofthe students.
