Career opportunitiesThis qualification will set you up to find employment as a special effects makeup artist in film, theatre or advertising production industries. You will be able to create special effects and manufacture prosthetics for a theatre, film or television production and may also seek contract or freelance employment in the industry.

Steiner, who operate P&O Cruises, Disney Cruiseliners and Princess Cruises visit Cut
Above students up to four times a year, giving career presentations and interviewing for roles
where students work on-board.
This amazing opportunity gives Level 4 Makeup students their first taste of working in stage and screen! They’ll be part of the makeup crew on a film set or stage production, working with

Course content Year TwoIn year two we will help you to develop your creativity with new approaches to cutting, colouring and styling. You will learn new skills and perfect existing ones, putting them to practice on paying clients in the graduate salon. You will also master hair and makeup for photography and competitions and have the chance to style hair for exciting fashion events. You will graduate with the necessary creative, technical and commercial skills to take your place in the workforce.
