Welcome to Camp! Take a look at what we did today

Today was a busy day! We began with an activity listing the pros and cons of the products for Goldi-locks and the Three Bears created yesterday. Teams took into account the stability, the materials, and even the budget. This helped each group organize them-selves and plan for the day! Next we brainstormed how to improve our design. This helps students prac-tice improving their projects and encourages team work.

Together we then read Humpty Dumpty. Every-one then had the opportunity to break into groups to brainstorm ideas for a wall that is 36 inches tall. We know our students all love Humpty Dumpty and don’t want him to break, so we challenged each group to de-sign a safety device for him to fall safely to the ground. This is important because campers were able to take a story they were familiar with and work to create some-thing new within it. This activity also taught students to work within certain constraints, something that is very applicable to the real world of entrepreneurship!

The rest of the day was spent building both the wall and the safety device. Everyone had so much fun working together to solve a problem for Humpty Dumpty. Their final products were all fantastic, and we can wait to show them to you.
