The Position This position supports the establishment of a world-class packaging organization by providing technical expertise in the development and deployment of new packaging systems for temperature controlled pharmaceutical and combination products. The position is within the Distribution Technology function of Global Packaging Development. Responsibilities include project leadership, prioritization, evaluation of resource requirements and managing contracted services. The selected candidate will work on a variety of packaging initiatives and will support Distribution Technology in establishing shipping systems for clinical and commercial use. This position will play a key role in representing Distribution Technology with European stakeholders in Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Technical Development Teams. Specific responsibilities include: • Ensure integration of Distribution Technology with Roche Europe through understanding customer needs and leveraging the gPKD organization to provide solutions • Manage engineering life cycle for global shipping methods • Develop and qualify shipping methods for temperature sensitive products • Plan, execute and document packaging testing methods for steriles, non-steriles and devices • Technical risk assessment, e.g. FMEA for shipping methods • Maintain strong department presence in EU through participation on technical development teams, product supply chain teams, Roche internal and external committees and working groups • Demonstrate industry leadership through presenting at conferences, publishing and participation in meetings between industry and health authorities Who you are You’re someone who wants to influence your own development.
