Since 1949, the Simonds Homes team have been continually seeking new ways to build better homes for Australians. Between October 2017 and June 2018, Delos worked with the Simonds Homes’ marketing, construction, procurement, operations and senior leadership teams to integrate the DARWIN™ Home Wellness Intelligence platform into the Simonds Homes building construction process.

The collaboration means Simonds Homes are the first volume home builder in the world to incorporate the DARWIN™ platform into its homes and again be a pioneer, this time in wellness for housing. To start, the first tier DARWIN™ platform* will be included as part of Simonds Homes’ base package in its new builds in the Victorian market. Dusan Balbi brings his expertise, insight and passion to our designs, ensuring your new home supports and enhances your lifestyle. With extensive experience and industry awards, Dusan is focused on sustainable urban design, and is Green Smart Accredited.

From his early artistic flair, he moved through the ranks of many large building companies, taking a design lead during times of unprecedented industry growth.

Dusan’s background inspires him and he credits his Italian DNA from his migrant father for his creativity that allows him to explore and appreciate design in all forms.

Family is at his heart, and Dusan is full of pride and joy at being the father of a young daughter. He loves nothing more than “sharing life skills and the beauty of the world.”

His eye for detail as a visual person means Dusan sees spaces in interesting ways, and creates designs that encourage people to feel at home.

Many environments influence him - beaches, cities, fashion, or the Aussie bush. “I see the beauty in all surrounds, and I try to translate it into homes that have human connection points.”
