MIIM Focus Companies

The programme support will be for a selected 30 high-potential Mittelstand companies that are at an advanced stage of market entry with a clear intent for localisation. However, companies that are still at an early stage of market entry but possess me-dium to long term potential for localisation and manufacturing in India shall also be considered for support. Technology compa-nies interested in partnering with Indian companies/institutions for technology tie ups will also be supported under the program-me. The above companies shall belong to the 25 MAKE IN INDIA focus sectors.

MIIM Programme Rollout andImplementationn MIIM Programme roll out shall begin from September, 2015.n A Hot Line/Communication Channel has been set up for the participating companies to handle their requests. For com- panies requiring extensive programme support, the same will be implemented through a Work Plan prepared for each of the selected companies.n At least six Specialised Common Workshops will be conduc- ted for participating companies during the first year of the programme on topics such as localisation, pricing strategy, skill development & training, inter-cultural issues, IPR‘s and taxation etc.n An MIIM Network and Exchange Platform will support parti- cipating companies to share their experiences, best practi- ces, success stories and to network among themselves.n Participating companies shall also be informed of the in- coming and outgoing business delegations as well as busi- ness events.

Make in India Mittelstand! (MIIM)MIIM is a business support programme designed to facilitate German Mittelstand and Family Owned Enterprises to Make in India. MIIM programme offers a wide range of business support ser-vices under a single platform. Services include strategy con-sulting, M&A, operational market entry support, tax & legal support, financial services, project financing, location services, technology collaboration, facilitation of approvals from central & state agencies and access to government agencies.

MIIM Programme Manager:MIIM programme is implemented and monitored by the Indian Embassy in Berlin with the support of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) and Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

MIIM Project TeamMIIM Project Team headed by Mr. P. S. Gangadhar, First Secreta-ry, Embassy of India, Berlin and supported by MIIM Knowledge Partner – EAC - Euro Asia Consulting is responsible for the day-to-day management of the MIIM Programme.

MIIM Steering CommitteeMIIM Steering Comittee, headed by H E Vijay Gokhale, Ambas-sador of India to Germany, comprising of representatives of partner ministries and institutions shall monitor the program-me and review the progress on a quarterly basis.

Selection of CompaniesSelection of the companies will be based on pre-defi ned crite-ria and personal discussions. As the number of companies to be considered for support is limited, companies that meet the selection criteria shall be offered a place in the programme on a ‘fi rst-come, fi rst-serve’ basis. New companies will be enrolled in the programme, when existing companies leave after suc-cessful entry into India.

Delivery of Services & Feen There would be no entry fee for the participating companies. General enquiries shall be answered on a gratis basis.n Neither the Indian Embassy nor any other government agen- cies shall charge any fees for facilitation services offered by them under the MIIM programme.n Participation in MIIM Specialised Common Workshops, MIIM Network and Exchange Platform, regular tax & legal updates, exchange of information on visiting delegations & business events shall be offered free of charge to the participating companies.n Companies requiring substantive service support, particular- ly from MIIM Knowledge Partner for strategic, M&A, opera- tional market entry support; MIIM Tax & Legal Partners for legal & tax support; MIIM Technology Partner for technology facilitation services; and MIIM Incubator Partner for location support, shall bear the costs of services as determined by respective partners. The MIIM Programme Manager has negotiated highly competitive fee structures for these ser- vices for the MIIM programme companies. Other MIIM Pro- gramme Partners such as MIIM Banking Partners & MIIM Partner Chamber have committed to timely and effective service support to the MIIM companies.

KARNATAKA UDYOG MITRA (KUM) is an invest-ment promotion and facilitation agency of the State Government of Karnataka and functions as a “single point of con-tact” for investors looking to set up busi-nesses in Karnataka. It is the Secretariat for grant of approvals and sanction of in-frastructure facilities for projects.

MIIM Knowledge Partner MIIM Facilitation PartnersMP TRADE & INVESTMENT FACILITATION CORP. LTD. (MPTRIFAC) is an enterprise of Government of Madhya Pradesh acting as the Single Window Secretariat for Investment pro-motion and facilitation in the state of Ma-dhya Pradesh. It has an ICT enabled single window system, which allows the investor to apply online for various approvals requi-red to set up business in the state.

MAHARASHTRA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT COR-PORATION (MIDC) is an investment promotion and facilitation agency of Government of Maharashtra. It supports investors, who are interested in establishing their units in the state through infrastructure sup-port. It has an investor facilitation team to facilitate and handhold the investors.

RAJASTHAN STATE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT & INVESTMENT CORPORATION LIMITED (RIICO) is an agency of Government of Rajasthan for industrial development. It supports companies in site selection and acquisiti-on of land, fi nancial assistance, technical consultancy, facilitation of clearances, etc.

TAMIL NADU INDUSTRIAL GUIDANCE & EXPORT PROMOTION BUREAU (TIDCO) is a Government of Tamil Nadu enterprise to stimulate in-dustrial development. TIDCO facilitates foreign companies in exploring opportu-nities, project evaluation, obtaining sta-tutory clearances, land procurement and in positioning utilities sources like power, water, etc.
