MAJOR PROJECTS AND NEWS ITEMS

INDUSTRY NEWS (Houston, TX) – Columbia Gas Transmission, LLC, a subsidiary of Columbia Pipeline Group, Inc. and Columbia Pipeline Partners LP, has filed a customer agreement with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to extend its long-term system modernization program. Columbia Transmission has requested FERC's approval of the customer agreement by March 31, 2016, which will allow critical planning and scoping work to commence in a timely manner. The filing extends and ex-pands the first-of-its-kind customer agreement, initially ap-proved by the FERC in January 2013.

The program will be extended three years, through 2020, and will provide for approximately $1.1 billion of additional investment.

The agreement also expands the scope of facility invest-ments covered by the program. “We are pleased to extend our Modernization Program, which continues a collaborative partnership with our customers to enhance the safety and reliability of the Columbia Transmission system," said CPG President Glen Kettering. "Further, we believe this agree-ment is fully consistent with the FERC's recently issued Modernization Policy Statement. "CPG has invested approximately $1.0 billion under the Modernization Pro-gram over the last three years, placing more than 100 pro-jects into service, including the:

- Replacement of more than 130 miles of bare steel pipe lines and wrought iron facilities;

- Installation or upgrading of approximately 116,000 horsepower of compression, including adding approxi-mately 80,000 horsepower of compression to its standby fleet;

- Installation of an emerging technology, real-time preven-tive maintenance monitoring system to more than 80 per-cent of its existing compressor fleet.

Investments in the Modernization Program have also en-abled CPG to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approxi-mately 20,000 metric tons annually.

Columbia Transmission is engaged in the transmission and storage of natural gas and operates approximately 12,000 miles of pipeline across 10 states. Customers include local gas distribution companies, natural gas producers, energy marketers, electric power generating facilities, as well as industrial and commercial end users.

The company also owns and operates one of North Ameri-ca's largest underground natural gas storage systems.

Black Hills Energy has determined the best, safest route for the 50-mile-long natural gas line and completed a preliminary environmental review and both archeological and historical assessments along this route.

The company is continuing to work with landowners and ag-ricultural producers along the route and anticipates beginning construction in the spring of 2016.

The engineering process for the Northeast Nebraska Line be-gan shortly after the project was announced in late January 2014 and the company plans to complete construction in the fall of 2016.

INDUSTRY NEWS (Tulsa, OK) – Williams recently an-nounced that John Seldenrust has been appointed Senior Vice President of Engineering & Construction, effective Jan. 1. Seldenrust will report directly to Williams President and Chief Executive Officer Alan Armstrong.

Seldenrust has more than 25 years industry experience and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of best-in-class engi-neering, design, and project and construction management activities and processes across all of Williams’ businesses. He previously served as Senior Vice President – Eastern Opera-tions for Williams and Access Midstream.
