2nd August, 2004: Prof. J. S. Grewal (right), Justice Aftab Alam

(middle) and Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad (left) on the occasion of Khuda

Bakhsh Annual Lecture delivered by Prof. J.S. Grewal on the

theme “Punjabi Sufi Poetry”.

21st August, 2005: Prof. Irfan Habib, former Chairman, ICHR,

delivers Khuda Bakhsh Annual Lecture on the theme

30th December, 2005: President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

conferring the Khuda Bakhsh Award at a ceremony organised at

Raj Bhawan, Patna. The awardees included Irfan Habib, J. S.

Grewal, Abdul Halim Nadvi, Nzaeer Ahmad and S. A. H. Abidi

24th July, 2007: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish

Kumar releasing a bibliography on 1857 on the occasion of

National Symposium on War of 1857 jointly organised by the

Library and Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi.

24th July, 2007: Mr. Justice (Retd.) Syed Sarwar Ali, Member

Khuda Bakhsh Library Board, looking at exhibition of rare

documents related to War of 1857.

2nd August, 2007: Prof. Barun De delivering Khuda Bakhsh

Annual Lecture on the theme “1857-58 in Bengal Presidency”.

30th October, 2007: Mr. Douglas Kelly, Program Officer, U.S.

Consulate General (Kolkata) inaugurating an exhibition of

manuscripts of Maulana Rumi’s Masnavi at the Library.

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

11th November, 2007: Release of book (in Urdu) on Maulana

Azad, entitled “Maulana Azad ke Sainsi Mazameen”.

2nd August, 2008: H.E. R. L. Bhatia, Governor of Bihar and

Chairman Library Board, inaugurates the online-catalogue of

published books of the Khuda Bakhsh Library.

2nd August, 2008: Prof. Sabyasachi Bhattacharya, Chairman

Indian Council of Historical Research, delivering the Khuda

Bakhsh Annual Lecture on the topic “Gandhi’s Idea of Indian

Civilization”.

“Right to Information Act and the Common Man”.

8th March, 2009: Ms. Susan Schultz, Public Affairs Officer, US

Consulate (Kolkata) delivers Khuda Bakhsh Popular Lecture on

“Women Empowerment”.

2nd August, 2009: Justice Shiva Kirti Singh, Acting Chief

Justice Patna High Court, releasing “Album of Scientific

Instruments” on the occasion of Khuda Bakhsh Annual Lecture

delivered by him on the theme “A Legal History of Modern

India”.

3rd August, 2009: Jalsa-e Seerat un-Nabi (Discourse on the life

of the Holy Prophet) organised in connection with Khuda Bakhsh

Day Celebrations.

organized at the Library in collaboration with U.S. Consulate

2nd October, 2010: Mr. Shahid Mehdi, Vice Chairman, Indian

Council for Cultural Relations delivers Khuda Bakhsh Annual

Lecture on the theme “Whither Higher Education in India?”
