WHY MAJOR IMAGES?Major Images is a full time boutique-style professional portrait studio specializing in High School Seniors, Children, and Families. We are based in Arlington, Texas and are blessed to serve clients throughout the state of Texas and beyond.

We are inspired by all of the amazing details of life with an emphasis on fashion and fun. We would love to be a part of this special time in your life by helping you create beautiful portraits that you and your parents will love for years to come!

WE OFFER A VARIETY OF SENIOR SESSIONS FROM IN-STUDIO TO ON-LOCATION.

At Major Images you can be photographed in many different places, allowing us to shoot all day and never use the same set twice. The window light and flash area in our studio, the outdoor backlot, and on location with urban grunge, woods, and flowers. We’re up on the latest trends and work hard to create the perfect color sets and backgrounds to look good with your outfits.

At Major Images, we get to know you! We learn about your personality and feelings and then combine that knowledge to help show “who you are” in your portraits. So just RELAX , be yourself and let us do all the work!

At Major Images, we know lighting and how to use it to flatter your face and body. To create moods and different looks, we use a wide variety of lighting techniques during your photoshoot to make your images look unique and different. Sessions can be photographed indoors, outside, using window light, and flash to give you the Major Images look.

We really love technology and learning all the new changes everyday. Major Images photographers know about cameras, lenses and the secrets of how to make them work to create your own unique Major Images style.

Understanding the human face, form and movement play an important part in making great portraits. We know how to help you move and turn to find the angles that will make you look your best. The fabulous part is, you don’t have to worry about what to do. Your photographer will give you direction and then let your individuality show.

Every year we select a theme for our studio to represent us and our clients through the end of their senior year. This year, LOVE is the theme for 2015. Loving yourself, loving others, and of course, loving your senior pics. One of our favorite parts of taking senior pictures is capturing each senior’s individual beauty. Everyone has something that makes them unique and special, and we love to take that and make it shine in their portraits. We’ve asked a few of our seniors to share what they love about themselves.

BEST FOR YOUR SENIOR PICTURES!

Make sure you get plenty of rest the night before. You’ll look and feel much more fresh and pretty!

Make sure you moisturize your skin if it needs it. It’ll give your face a healthy glow, and makeup usually holds better.

Moisturize your lips so they look smooth and healthy. Consider wearing lip gloss or lipstick even if you normally don’t; it can really make your pictures pop!

Come with your hair clean, dry, and styled for more time in the studio and less time in the dressing room.

Check your smile! Make sure you’ve brushed & flossed, and don’t have any sneaky food or lipstick on your teeth.

Avoid body glitter or extra glittery makeup. It looks pretty in person but usually doesn’t capture well on camera.

Bring makeup and hair products with you in case you need to touch anything up. Bobby pins, hair spray, lip gloss, etc

Consider getting your hair and makeup professionally done. If you’re not sure where to get it done, give us a call, we can point you in the right direction!

If you’re using self tanner or have a spray tan, have it freshly applied and watch out for any lines or streaks.

Don’t wax the day before or the day of your pictures. Sometimes your skin might still be red and irritated.

Make sure your nails are clean and tidy. If you’re wearing nail polish, make sure it’s fresh and not chipped.

If you’re doing something new or different from your usual routine, try doing a test run before the day of your pictures.

FOR THE GUYS

We know senior pictures aren’t always the most exciting thing you’ll do this year. So, we’ve put together a few tips and tricks to make the process go as smoothly and quickly as possible!

1. Bring clothes that aren’t super matchy matchy. For instance, if you have two outfits, try not to bring a blue polo and a blue t-shirt. Having some contrast in your clothes makes for more interesting pictures.

2. Bring things you enjoy! Hunting, sports, school clubs, whatever it is, you’ll be sure to get some unique shots with what you love.

3. Everyone loves nice clean hands (and nails!)

4. Don’t forget to shave any unwanted facial hair!

5. If you’re doing pictures with your car or truck, give it a good washing first (unless mudding is your thing. That looks cool too)

6. Get ready to have fun and rock your senior pictures!

THINGS TO REMEMBER

Whether this is your first time doing senior pictures, or you have an older child that’s been through this before, we try to make this as easy as possible for you. Senior pictures are a fun tradition and we think that parents should be part of the process as well. We look forward to sharing this experience with you!

1. The first step is choosing the session you want, and booking it. You can schedule at majorimages.com or by calling 817.795.9922.

2. Feel free to come with your senior the day of their pictures. You can go back in the studio with them or hang out elsewhere.

3. After we’re done shooting the pictures, we’ll schedule you to come back in and look at them, usually a week or two later.

4. The day that you come back in to look at them, we set aside and hour and a half for your viewing. This is also your time to order, so make sure that all decision makers are present.

5. Having an idea of what you want to order usually makes the decision making process easier. Measure the space on your wall if you’re thinking about getting a framed wall portrait. Make a list of friends and families you want to give prints to. Suggested ideas: collages, books, tabletop images, announcements, & wallets.

6. After ordering, your portraits will be ready to be picked up within a couple of weeks.

In my own personal life, I live to create a life full of great memories and experiences for myself as well as for those around me. Photographing other people’s experiences each day is truly a gift. I realize you enter my studio to document an important time in your own life, and at Major Images, you’re not just another number. For me, it’s more than you looking good for a picture, although we do pride ourselves on making every senior look and feel like a rock star! I

love capturing these Senior Images as the last photographs of you as a child and the first photographs of you as an adult ready to leave the nest and enter into the world on your own. Your portraits are a piece of where you came from and where you are headed. For your parents, your portraits are a piece of you to hold on to. With this being the heart of Major Images, I would be honored to capture your senior moments through the art of professional photography.

ARTIST STATEMENT

CHOOSE YOUR SESSION

Our Indoor session is a quick and easy thirty minute, two outfit session that is guaranteed to capture plenty of smiles.

The Backlot is a series of unique outdoor sets behind the studio. You get all the benefits of outdoor lighting without being exposed to the sun or wind. The Indoor+Backlot is our most popular senior session. It’s an hour and a half long with up to four outfits, meaning it’s perfect for getting a great variety of beautiful images.

Whether you prefer the grungy urban look, or tall grass and pretty fields, going on location is a great way to express yourself. Bring along sports stuff, instruments, or even your car!

Got senior fever? Cool off in the pool with swimsuit pictures. Don’t forget pool essentials: a hat, sunglasses, and a cute coverup. If you’re a swimmer or into things like wakeboarding, we can also capture some awesome shots! If it’s cool, out we can heat the pool.
