MAJOR EMPLOYERS IN BRISTOL AND SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

This Schedule lists businesses and organisations in Bristol and South Gloucestershireemploying more than 200 staff at February 2012

The list excludes retailers (except for retail distribut ion depots) and businesses that mainlyemploy staff away from their own premises (e.g. security services, employment agencies,cleaning companies).

Information on employee numbers has been gathered from a number of sources includingtelephone survey, company visits and press reports.

In most cases the businesses and organisations are listed by specific location. Wherebusinesses and organisations are based at more than one location the employment figurerelates to the estimated number of staff employed in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

While considerable care has been taken to produce a comprehensive list of major employersit is inevitable that some errors and omissions will have occurred. Bristol City Council wil l be
