Maintenance Manager March 2012 to January 30, 2015 Metal Coaters Ohio- Middletown, Ohio
Facility was idled in 2002, Oversaw upgrade AC and DC Drives, update PLC controls Went through all mechanical components, send out all rolls, motors and pumps for rebuild; project included redesign ovens and quench systems for 50% speed increase. Project completed on time and under budget. Set Up CMM. Process Improvement Manager November 1998 to June 2011 Metal Coaters of California – Rancho Cucamonga, California Assisted in implementation of operations, maintenance and capital programs. Coordinated and
monitored vendor maintenance for large repairs. Reviewed work orders and communicated with prior
shift to assess work needs for the day. Engineer process control DC Drive replacement on Coating
Line, no lost production time, increased line speed from 400 FPM to 500 FPM. Engineer and
oversee fabrication of new Chemical Coater for chrome free pre-treatment reducing
environmental impact of process. Design oversees fabrication of quench systems, immediate
improvement on quality of product on installation. Electrical Mechanical downtime average 23%
on my arrival, now average 3%.
Maintenance Manager March 1995 to November 1998 Amerimax Coated Products – Helena, AR Assist with relocation coating line from Riverside California to Helena AR, start-up and bringing plant to
full operation. Oversee move and installation of slitting line from Morris IL. Engineer new process
control DC Drives and motors, line speed increase from 200 FPM to 400FPM. Modify entry section PLC
programming, giving additional 10% scrap recovery. Set-up work-order system and inventory system
using Microsoft Access
