Maintain better drainage for
better ballast resistance.
Check proper packing up to 3
sleepers either side improves thereliability of insulation joint.
Check 50mm clearance
between ballast and bottom
of the rail.
Check for missing worn out
liners and rubber pads in
concrete sleepers.
Preferred Glued joint over nylon
insulation joint.
Cut burr at the rail table at
insulation joint.
Check jumper connections in
TLJB weekly. Check track leads at feed end
and relay end weekly. Ensure that series track
circuit connections.
Train shunt resistance value should not be less than 0.15 ohm for AC track circuit and 0.5 ohm
for DC track circuit and 0.25 ohm provided with concrete sleepers.
Ballast resistance should not be less than 2 ohm per km in any section irrespective of sleeper
provided.
Rail resistance should not be more than 1 ohm per km irrespective of length of track circuit.
Voltage on track relay should be checked weekly.

TR voltage should not be more than 300% of
its pick up value as written on the relays
Battery charger, charging current and sp.gr.
of track battery shall be checked weekly.
Fish plate holes /rail holes should not be in staggered way for smooth alignment to replace/
install nylon bushes.
Check the resistance between fish plate-rail, fish plate bolt, fish plate-fish plate weekly.
