Text

The editors of this magazine have chosen to take a quote out of an interview, and put it on the front cover. This is effective because when people read this, they would get interested and want to buy the magazine

Rhetorical questions are an effective way of persuading someone to do something.

In this case, a rhetorical question is used to persuade the reader to read on

Putting words in capital letters attracts the readers’ attention. By putting the band names in capital letters, the readers’ see the band names and think whether they want to buy it or not

Colour

The editors of this magazine, have chosen purple and white as the main colours. This is because purple stands out a lot. Especially on white.

The use of purple on a white background, makes the magazine stand out more and it catches peoples’ eye easier.

In the subheading, the editors use the colour yellow. This is because it stands out more as it is used on a black background.

It is also the first thing the reader will notice after “Mindless Self Indulgence”
