Obviously those most vulnerable in our society are the elderly and those with under-lying medical conditions; we want to ensure they are looked after whilst also adhering to social distancing and hygiene guidelines. If you know of anyone who requires assistance with pick-ups/drop offs over the next couple of weeks please pass on our contact information and we will assist in anyway we can whilst following HSE Covid-19 health and safety guidelines.

CLOUGHANEELY GOLF CLUBDarragh Geaney shot the lights out last Sunday and produced 5 birdies and a hole in one* to lead the field home on 46 points. Great shooting. Gerard Doran followed in 2nd on 42 points (BOT). It was great to see some Members playing and enjoying the fresh air and social distancing. We welcome Golf Membership payments over the next few weeks, a difficult start to the year with inclement weather and now Covid19, but we hope all Members will continue to support the Golf Club in this difficult time. New Members are welcome @ €200 please contact us for more information. The date they have set is 19th April to review and we will monitor this closely over the next few weeks. All pins & tee markers will be removed from the golf course and NO PLAY will be permitted. ANYONE found playing on the course will be in breach of the rules laid down by the Club and appropriate action will be taken by the Committee. Please all stay safe, stay at home and we will see you soon when it is safe to do so. Nigh do lámha!

CLOUGHANEELY GAASuspension of Club Activities: In light of the recent announcement from the GAA regarding the Covid-19 epidemic all club activities at all levels (training, games etc) will be suspended until further notice. Please note this means we will be closing our gym, Faola Fitness, during this time also. The lotto draw has also been suspended. For anyone that may have bought tickets, rest assured you will be included in our next draw. The same applies to those who have purchased online; we will ensure you are included for as many draws as you have purchased. Nobody will be missing out. Tickets which are on sale in the various outlets in the parish will still be picked up each week. We will monitor the situation weekly and keep you all informed as to when our next draw will be. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation at this time.
NA TITHE GLOINEDue to the Coronavirus, until further notice, we will no longer be providing boxes to carry your veg in. Therefore, you must bring a bag or suitable container with you when collecting your veg. Thank you for your cooperation. As per recommendations from the relevant authorities, Cill Ulta will remain open for business at this time. We do ask that site visits are restricted to essential needs only (seed potatoes, etc. are still available - see attached for full listing) and that all who come on site report directly to the main office for assistance. In order to keep our staff and our customers as safe as possible, we will not be accepting any volunteers until further notice. Additionally, all classes/courses have been postponed until national restrictions have been lifted. All staff have been briefed on the most up-to-date Covid-19 protection methods as per the HSE’s Public Health Advise publications. We will do everything in our power to continue to provide fresh, local, sustainable produce to you, our friends and neighbors.
