BEAUTIFUL BONES
BIG RORY AND OCHIE THE DOG
Love Music Productions and Surge feat. Metropolitan Brass Band
A COLOSSAL THEATRICAL AND MUSICAL PAN-DEMONIUM ABOUT DEATH!
Beautiful Bones is about death, the inescap-able and final act of being alive. The west is spectacularly disinterested in death, especial-ly our own. The rituals that surround death are left to others while we look away, pre-tending it is not for us.
Beautiful Bones pays honour to human passing with irreverence and black humour – greeting death as a friend to be made welcome. The Four Horsemen of the Apoca-lypse spread their doom until confronted by a massed trombone orchestra and a street party the likes of which have never been seen on the streets of Glasgow.
Surreal McCoy
A GLEEFUL GIANT SCOTSMAN AND HIS RASCAL OF A DOG.
Big Rory and Ochie the Dog are no ordinary street theatre act. A giant Scotsman and his endearing giant dog explode onto an audi-ence. Enormous in both size and character, people (and dogs) fall in love with Ochie and can’t help cuddling the rascally huge pup, who is full of surprises.

HAND//SHAKE
Ramshaklicious
RAUCOUS, BRASS HEAVY, MUSICAL CHAOS, PERFORMED FROM AN APOCALYPTIC BAT-TLE-CHURCH.
Arriving in a cloud of raucous brass heavy music, driving their home made, water spurt-ing, flaming and smoking battle-church. Dressed in punk marching band attire & ex-isting within their very own miniature apoca-lyptic microclimate.
These idiots are convinced that the inventible end of the world is upon us, maybe today, maybe right here, maybe right now!

Ramblers Teatro
A JOURNEY INTO THE MYSTICAL HEART OF MAYAN CULTURE.
A poetic performance transport viewers play-fully into a Pre-Hispanic Mayan world, where people are born from corn and where Jaguar Gods roam the ancient lands of Yucatan.
Through movement, masks, marionettes and music, Ramblers Teatro create dream-like imagery to explore Mayan origins and folk-lore. The tale follows K’iin, son of the goddess Ixchel, whose life journey takes him through jungles, pueblos and cenotes to realise his destiny and protect his homeland. Developed with Surge as part of our Street Theatre Bur-sary Programme for Surge Festival.

A MADFERRIT NOSTALGIA-SODDEN GIG OF A LIFETIME...
Ah! The 90’s! The Union Jacked-up days of Cool Britannia! A time when Britpop - not Brexit - was the nation’s greatest export and ‘strong and stable’ made way for hope. Is it all a bit of a Blur? Then meet The Gallaghers; the mono-browed lairy laddish embodiment of sticky pub floor Britain.
Come sing-along as they furiously swagger their way down roads that are awinding to a simpler time and the gig of the 20th century. Look Back In Anger? You must be madferrit! Developed with Surge as part of our Street Theatre Bursary Programme for Surge Festi-val..
