Valley Roots Series – Spanish Colonial History to 1820 Wednesday, February 17, 2016 7:00—8:30PM Join us for our monthly Valley Roots series. South Texas College professor Dr. Trinidad Gonzales will give a presentation on Spanish Colonial History to 1820 including Jose Escandon and his colonizations in the area. Registration required.

Studies have shown that it is a calming method of relaxation for adults. Come unwind with us at the end of the week. Colored pencils, coloring pages, and relaxing music will be provided. PAWS: Helping Cats and Dogs in the RGV Saturday, February 27, 2016 3:00—4:00PM Palm Valley Animal Center does a lot to help animals in need in our community. This month, a new facility, the Laurie P. Andrews PAWS Center is having its grand opening! Why do we need another center to help animals? What makes the Pet Adoption and Wellness Services (PAWS) center different? Come find out!
