Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017
Happy Easter! Today is the Easter Sunday. Let us rejoice and be glad and says Alleluia, the Lord is risen from the dead! Alleluia. This is the impor tant feast for us as Catholics because after for ty days of doing penance, almsgiving and prayer, we are now resurrected with Christ through His newness of life. Together with Fr. Wayne, Deacon Dong and Deacon Rafael, Sister Francesca, Staff and Faculty of the Church and School, we wish all of you a joyful, love and grace-filled season of Resurrection of Jesus Christ who is risen from the dead. We also would like to ex-press our deepest gratitude to all of you for your prayer, love, and support of our parish through the season. May the Risen Lord reward all you for your generosity and love for our Church. Easter is the greatest and the most important feast in the Church for three reasons: 1. The resurrection of Christ is the basis of our Christian faith. It is the greatest of the miracles, for it proved that Jesus is God. That is why St. Paul writes: “If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith is in vain” (1 Cor 15:14). “Jesus is Lord, he is ris-en” (Roman 10:9) was the central theme of the kerygma (or preaching) of the apostles, be-cause Jesus prophesied His resurrection as a sign of His divinity: “Tear down this temple and in three days I will build it again” (John 2:19); 2. Easter is the guarantee of our own resurrec-tion. Jesus assured Martha at the tomb of Lazarus: “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me will live even though he dies” (John 11:25-26); 3. Easter is the feast which gives us hope and encouragement in this world of pain, sorrows and tears. It reminds us that life is worth living. It is our belief in the Real Presence of the Risen Jesus in our souls, in His Church, in the Blessed Sacrament and in Heaven that gives meaning to our personal as well as our communal prayer, strength to fight against temptations and freedom from unnecessary worries and fears. Let us live the lives of resurrection people. Easter gives us the joyful message that we are a “resurrection people”. This means that we are not supposed to lie buried in the tomb of our sins, evil habits, dangerous addictions, despair, discouragement or doubts. Instead, we are ex-pected to live a joyful and peaceful life, constantly experiencing the living presence of the res-urrected Lord in all events of our lives and admit the boredom, suffering pain, and tensions of our day-to-day life. ¡Feliz Pascua! Hoy es Domingo de Pascua. Gocémonos, alegrémonos y digamos Aleluya, el Señor ha resuci-tado de entre los muertos, Aleluya. Esta es la fiesta más impor tante para nosotros, como católicos, porque después de cuarenta días de penitencia, limosna y oración, ahora también re-sucitados con Cristo a través de su nueva vida. Deseamos a todos un feliz día, lleno de amor y de gracia en Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que ha resucitado de entre los muertos. También nos gustaría expresar nuestro más profundo agradecimiento a todos ustedes por sus oraciones, amor y apoyo a nuestra parroquia durante este año. Que el Señor Resucitado recompense a to-dos ustedes por su generosidad y amor a nuestra Iglesia. La Pascua es la fiesta más grande y más importante de la Iglesia, por tres razones: 1. La resu-rrección de Cristo es la base de nuestra fe cristiana. Es el milagro más grande porque demues-tra que Jesús es Dios. Esa es la razón por la que San Pablo escribe: "Si Cristo no ha resucitado, nuestra predicación carece de sentido y vuestra fe es en vano" (1 Corintios 15:14). "Jesús es el Señor, ha resucitado" (Romanos 10:9) fue el tema central del kerigma (o predicación) de los apóstoles, porque Jesús profetizó su resurrección como un signo de su divinidad: "Derriben es-te templo y en tres días lo reedificaré" (Juan 2:19). El fundador de otra religión no tiene una tumba vacía como Jesús lo ha hecho. 2. La Pascua nos da la garantía de nuestra propia resu-rrección Jesús aseguró a Marta ante la tumba de Lázaro: "Yo soy la resurrección y la vida: el que cree en mí vivirá, aunque muera" (Juan 11:25-26). 3. La Pascua es la fiesta que nos da es-peranza y aliento en este mundo de dolor, tristeza y lágrimas. Nos recuerda que la vida vale la pena vivirla. Esa es nuestra creencia en la presencia real de Jesús resucitado en nuestras almas, en su Iglesia, en el Santísimo Sacramento y en el cielo que da sentido a nuestra fuerza perso-nal, así como nuestra oración comunitaria, para luchar contra las tentaciones y liberarnos de preocupaciones innecesarias y temores. Vivamos la vida de los resucitados. La Pascua nos da la buena noticia de que somos un pueblo "resucitado". Esto significa que no estamos enterra-dos en la tumba de nuestros pecados, malos hábitos, adicciones peligrosas, la desesperación, el desaliento o dudas. En cambio, esperamos vivir una vida feliz y pacífica, constantemente ex-perimentando la presencia viva del Señor Resucitado en todos los eventos de nuestra vida y admitir el sufrimiento, el dolor y las tensiones de cada día en nuestra vida. Una vez más, ¡Que el Señor Resucitado otorgue a cada uno de ustedes la paz, el amor y la alegría! Padre Bao

Giáo Xứ Thánh Cêcilia Cộng Đoàn Thánh Phêrô, Tustin
Mừng Chúa Phục Sinh Quý Ông Bà và Anh Chị Em thân mến, Hôm nay là Chúa Nhật Phục Sinh. Chúng ta cùng với toàn thể Giáo Hội vui mừng hát “Alleluia, Chúa Kitô đã toàn thắng sự chết, và đã sống lại.” Ðây là ngày trọng đại đối với chúng ta là những người Kitô Hữu. Sự sống mới trong Chúa Kitô sau 40 ngày chay tịnh. Xin chân thành kính chúc quý ông bà và anh chị em quí mạnh thường quân và quí ân nhân một Lễ Đại Phục Sinh tràn đầy niềm vui và ân sủng của Chúa Kitô Ðấng toàn thắng sự chết. Nhân dịp này, chúng tôi cũng xin chân thành tri ân toàn thể quí vị đã và đang đóng góp tài chánh và công sức để sửa soạn cho Ðại Lễ Phục Sinh được tốt đẹp. Nguyện xin Chúa Kitô Phục Sinh qua lời cầu bầu của Ðức Mẹ La Vang, Thánh Cêcilia và Thánh Phêrô trả công bội hậu cho toàn thể quí vị. Lễ Phục Sinh là đại lễ quan trọng nhất trong Giáo Hội với ba lý do. 1. Sự sống lại của Chúa Kitô là căn bản của niềm tin Công Giáo. Ðây là phép lạ trong đại nhất chứng minh Chúa Giêsu là Chúa. Vì thế Thánh Phaolô đã viết trong thư gởi cho Giáo Ðoàn Corintô chương 15 câu 14, ngài nói: “Nếu Chúa Giêsu không sống lại lại từ cõi chết, thì việc rao giảng của chúng tôi là hão huyền và đức tin của chúng ta cũng là hão huyền (1 Cor 15:14). Chúa Giêsu là Chúa, Ngài đã sống lại (Roma 10:9) là chủ đề chính của việc rao giảng của các Tông Ðồ, bởi vì Chúa Giêsu đã tiên đoán sự sống lại của Chúa là dấu chỉ Thiên Tính của Ngài: “Hãy phá đền thờ này đi, Ta sẽ xây lại trong ba ngày” (Jn 2:19). Không có một vị sáng lập tôn giáo nào mà lại có mồ trống như Chúa Giêsu. 2. Lễ Phục Sinh là sự bảo đảm cho sự sống lại của chúng ta. Chúa Giêsu đã quả quyết với Mát-ta tại nơi mộ của Lazarô: “Ta là sự sống lại và là sự sống, ai tin Ta dù chết cũng sẽ được sống (Jn 11:25 -26). 3. Lễ Phục Sinh là đại lễ cho chúng ta niềm hy vọng và phấn khởi trong một thế giới đang đau khổ và đầy nước mắt. Lễ Phục Sinh nhắc nhở chúng ta cuộc sống này là đáng sống. Ðó là niềm tin của chúng ta vào sự hiện diện của Chúa Giêsu Phục Sinh trong tâm hồn, trong giáo hội, trong bí tích thánh thể, và trên trời. Lễ Phục Sinh đem lại cho chúng ta ý nghĩa đối với cá nhân và đời sống cộng đồng. Lễ Phục Sinh đem lại cho chúng ta sức mạnh để chống lại các chước cám dỗ và sự tự do để bớt đi lo lắng và sợ hãi. Nói tóm lại mỗi người chúng ta hãy vui mừng vì chúng ta cũng đã phục sinh với Chúa. Cha Bảo

Sinh Hoạt Hàng Tuần
Mỗi thứ Tư hằng tuần, giáo xứ chúng ta có giải tội từ 7:00 giờ tối đến 8:00 giờ tối, và cũng có giờ chầu Thánh Thể từ 7:00 giờ tối đến 9:00 giờ tối. Tuy nhiên, tuần Phục Sinh, thì không có giải tội.. Đoàn LMTT & Nhóm Cursillo sẽ phụ trách xướng kinh trong giờ chầu tuần này từ 8:00 giờ đến 8:30 tối. Xin mời quí vị tham dự đông đủ. Mỗi thứ Năm hàng tuần, từ 6:00 giờ tối đến 7:00 giờ tối tại Nhà Nguyện Thánh Thể, cộng đoàn Việt Nam có giờ Đền Tạ Mẹ Fatima. Xin mời quí vị tham dự đông đủ.
