Asian Countries Contacted in order of GDP 2 China 3 Japan 8 Russia 10 India 12 Australia (Continent I know, same hemisphere) 15 South Korea 16 Indonesia 36 ~ Hong Kong I extensively researched these major Asian countries for regulations governing mailboxes. When searching, I was unable to find regulations regarding mailboxes in these countries. My online searches would return the websites for the state-run and/or privately owned post services of the respective country. The sites provided shipping and service details but did not provide for any technical regulations or requirements regarding mailboxes. In addition to using various search phrases and scanning through these websites, I emailed the respective post office services of the above- mentioned countries and even emailed their US Consulates in order to see if either could be of service. For the most part I was ignored, given bad information, or told to go back to the website where there was no information regarding regulations. I’ve attached some of the emails I’ve had with the various Asian countries’ mail services and embassies. They either did not respond or provide any useful information.
