Mail box Migration Process

We can Migrate customers mailbox by using Quest on demand web based tool to office 365 . Assuming that prerequisites are fulfilled eg: (Auto discover, impersonation rights, Trust, free busy…..)

Creating the Migration Plan:

Creating connection :

Now we will select the source and the target servers or Auto discover In the case of Exchange 2007,2010 and we will provide the name of the servers in the case if the source is Exchange 2003 or lotus notes or IMAP server.

As required we can select the platform we are migrating from Source as given in the Dropdown

Click on Test connection and make sure everything is in sync properly and in one instance we can use up to 10 mailboxes for reading from source and 10 Mailboxes in Target, to increase this count we have to use more admin accounts.

Adding mailbox:

We can import the mailboxes in bulk by using import CSV option

4:Selection of DATA from source and Destination:

Start Migration:

At this step we can start the migration the mailboxes we have added or imported by csv

Status can be seen of the mailboxes in the Migration console.

Checking the Batch Status

TO check the status of all the Groups Migrating by the dashboard option we can delete , Edit or copy the same Migration batch as required .

For auditing, Billing and getting the details of the Migrating in the Chart we can use the option as given below.
