MAGNUM TALLY

COMPLETE CONTROL SOLUTIONS

MAGNUM, as a unified control system, bridges all of the major components (whether all–SDI, all–IP or hybrid) within the broadcast path under a single point of control enabling broadcasters to simplify facility workflow and gain efficiency while reducing operational costs. MAGNUM TALLY is a software module that unifies configuration and management of tally state and status from discrete devices.

MAGNUM provides a central location for configuring, managing and viewing tally setups for interfacing to switchers, discrete GPIOs, Multiviewers, routers and 3rd party IMD devices. This module allows users to create, save and recall various tally configuration for an event, centrally managing and providing simple interfacing to Evertz routers and multiviewers, thereby reducing the amount of time to configure a system.

The 7700TPI can be populated in a Evertz 7700 or 7800 series modular frame, it provides 20 tally opto–isolated General Purpose Inputs (GPI) and 8 relay closure General Purpose Outputs (GPO).It is used in conjunction with MAGNUM–TALLY for physical GPIO, this module also supports directly hosted by MAGNUM–TALLY through the Ethernet connection on its RP. The GPI/GPO connections easily accessed through pin–headers (Phoenix Terminal Blocks) on rear plate.

7700TPI — VistaLINK Third Party Interface Module

The 7800TR–32x24 Tally router provides 32 tally outputs and 24 tally inputs, and is used in conjunction with MAGNUM–TALLY for physical GPIO. It receives tally inputs from devices like switchers, record systems, etc. and provides this information over Ethernet to MAGNUM–TALLY to be processed. The tally information can then be used by MAGNUM–TALLY to provide tally information to Cameras, Under Monitor Displays (UMDs), Switchers, replay and record systems, or physical GPO’s for third party devices back to the 7800TR–32x24.

7800TR–32x24 — Modular Tally Router

The TR–4800E Tally router provides 32 tally inputs and 48 tally outputs with the option for an additional 16 GPIO on its front, and is used in conjunction with MAGNUM–TALLY for physical GPIO. It receives tally inputs from a devices like switchers, record systems, etc. and provides this information over Ethernet to MAGNUM–TALLY to be processed. The tally information can then be used by MAGNUM–TALLY to provide tally information to cameras, Under Monitor Displays (UMDs), switchers, replay and record systems, etc.

The optional front 16 GPIO are individually software selectable with LED indicators to be GPI/GPO, Wet/Dry, when configured as GPI Wet inputs are polarity insensitive. The front also has Binding post pair for a external voltage input, internal or this external power can be used for wet GPIO applications.

TR–4800E — 32x48 Tally Router, 1 RU unit

The TR–4800E–BHP designed to work in conjunction with the TR–4800E (+BP16) tally router. This 2RU bulkhead panel takes the GPIOs from the rear DB37 connectors on a TR4800E(+BP16) and then translates the 48 General Purpose Outputs and 32 General Purpose Inputs each to 2–Pin terminal blocks. Five 6–foot (2 meter) cables are provided to connect form the TR–4800E to the BHP to allow remote placement of the bulkhead panel.

Wet and Dry modes are easily selected for each GPO and GPI via a slide switches and no rewiring required. All GPIO are broken out to 2–pin removable terminal blocks to allow easy wiring. Additionally the BHP has a cable strain relief bar runs across the middle of the panel to provide a tie point for the GPIO cables.
