    Tim Whole Body Suite

MAGNETOM Symphony, A TimSystem features a uniquetelescopic patient table whichenables a full Field-of-View ofup to 200 cm, without increas-ing total system length. Noadditional table extension isrequired.

The table top has standardlength. For Whole-Body examsthe table simply travels furtherout at the rear side of the mag-net. Table movement to its fullextent can be controlled fromthe operator console.

The large FoV helps in imagingmetastases with sequences suchas TIRM (Turbo InversionRecovery). Whole-Body MRAngiography is possible on theentire volume with iPAT.

Max. scan range of 200 cm

iPAT Extensions (integrated Parallel Acquisition Techniques)

iPAT2 allows iPAT in 2 directionssimultaneously (phase-encoding direction and 3Ddirection for 3D sequences)

By applying PAT in 2 directionssimultaneously, the effectivePAT factor can be maximized, and PAT applications are

extended.Typical clinical applicationsare MR Angiography orultrafast isotropic T1-weighted3D imaging of the head.

    CISS & DESS

    Unique Siemens sequencesand protocols

    3D DESS

    (Double Echo Steady State):

    T2/ T1-weighted

    Excellent fluid-cartilagedifferentiation in orthopedicimaging

    3D CISS

    (Constructive Interference inSteady State):

Excellent visualization offine structures such as cranial

    nerves High resolution imaging of

    inner ear and spine

    AutoAlign

Automated alignment of slicepositioning for head examina-tions. This option enables easyand accurate patient follow-up.AutoAlign references the 3DMR brain atlas and automaticallyaligns the slice positions in astandard reproducible way.

Automatic slice planning:no manual adjustments ofslice positioning necessary

Reproducibility: reviews allhead images in the sameposition and orientation

Follow-up: reapplies exactlythe same image position as inprevious examinations(supported by the Phoenixtechnique)

    syngo Security

Security package for generalregulatory security rules

The option supports customersto achieve compliance withHIPAA (Health Insurance andAccountability Act).

    User authentication

Restricts access to functionsand data through privilegesand permissions

Logs relevant data securityinformation in audit trail

    MPPS

DICOM Modality PerformedProcedure Steps (MPPS) allowscommunication of informationabout the examinationsfrom the MR system to aninformation system (such asRIS systems). MPPS enablesprovision of data for billing, documentation and planningpurposes to an informationsystem.
