The ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 Flashlight Basic Performance Standard was developed by a committee of several flashlightmanufacturers and was approved on August 18, 2009.

Rather than perform the testing “in-house” as other companies are doing, MAG Instrument, Inc. has sent its products toan independent laboratory for testing.

MAG has also designed and engineered its products with Precision Focused Optics and Intelligent Electronics tooptimize the targeted delivery of useful light over an extended period of time, instead of settling for mere light output.This is reflected in its products’ superior peak beam intensity, beam distance and run time.

MAG expects its packaging, sales literature and website will reflect its test results under the ANSI/NEMA standard in thefirst quarter of 2010.

MAG believes that providing the consumer with independent verification brings more credibility to its publishedproduct performance and reliability measurements.
