THE STORY: Koong-Se is the daughter of a wealthy Chinese mandarin. He wants her

to take a rich husband, but she has no interest in money. Instead, she falls in love with

Chang, a mere gardener. A wistful song “In a Garden in China” is performed as the

lovers m

eet in the scented m

oonlit garden. The outraged m

andarin banishes Chang

and confines his daughter. Guards oversee her and (optionally) give a martial arts

display then taunt her with the song “Checking up on You”. A m

yriad of garden

spirits visit her, perform a gentle dance routine and sing ”All Her Lifetime.” The

mandarin arranges her wedding, but the lovers elope. They are hunted down, and

trapped in pagoda which is set on fire. The lovers perish, but the garden spirits emerge

to m

usic and turn them into immortal white birds. The play ends with a

bouncy song “The Selfish Mandarin” which recaps the story and

features a fiery dance. An unusual and attractive short musical.

SYNOPSIS Unlike the “wild people” of

the valley, Noah and his family are hard-

working, honourable people, "So many

jobs" is a cheerful action song depicting

their daily chores. God is angry with the

"wild people" for spoiling the will send a

big flood. Noah must build an ark to

preserve all the animals and mankind.

The sceptical “wild people” attempt to

destroy the ark, but finally the ark is

ready. Summoned by God, the animals

board the boat , and the storm

starts.

When food is running low and there is a

Noah sends the raven and the dove to

seek dry land. The raven fails, but the

dove brings back an olive twig,

signifying dry land nearby. God sends a

lovely rainbow over the world, and the

A very simple poignant script telling the traditional Nativity story.

For KS1, KS2 and special needs. Very popular, sold worldwide,

especially to the UK and USA. There are eight modern original

songs, as listed below. Schools sometimes add their own selection

of other traditional carols to produce a longer concert. Otherwise,

the production is about 40 minutes in length. Last time I staged it

in my own school it was perform

ed by 85 children including choir,

but it can be perform

ed by a group as small as 15.

The package contains script, CD, and very basic sheet

music (melody line with chords) The CD contains two

copies of each song, one with vocals for rehearsing,

one "backing track" for perform

ance. Therefore no

Very Brief Synopsis: The unhappy King and Queen long for a child. A m

wish. But the jealous bad fairy puts a spell on the baby princess. On her 16th birthday she stabs her

finger on a spinning wheel. The good fairies can only soften the spell so that she does not die but sleeps

for 100 years instead, or until a Prince breaks the spell with a kiss. A prince is found but he absconds

when attacked by the wicked fairy’s bodyguard. Happily, the magic frog is at hand to give the tale a

Fantastic fun to act, sing and dance, and it explores PSHE

issues, especially bullying, and low self esteem.

The last egg hatches into an ugly creature, and he is bullied in the

barnyard. He runs away and is befriended by the wild ducks, but he

loses track of them during the hunting season. A gypsy shows

kindness to him, and he is then taken in by a farm

er and his family.

Their cat, dog and hen are jealous and bully him so he runs away

again. At last he matures into a beautiful swan, finds his self-esteem

and flies to freedom. No musical ability needed- just sing and dance

to the backing tracks. You get: script, and CD with audio tracks,

PowerPoint Presentation, Piano Score, and 20 worksheets. Written as

a whole school show for 5-11 year olds. Adaptable for KS1.
