Check Save to file option, thenclick on Configure button andin the next window defineBoolean variable to ControlVariable. On Save to screen,select the System EventGroup created previously.

Go to System Event Groupscreen, select Yes to BackupRecords and SRAM & File toRecord Storage. This configwill allow generated files to besaved on a removable media(removable USB media, CF ouSD Card)

To update the LOGs file, you shouldenter a value of 4 (four) in ControlVariable. For more details, go to helpmenu 16.3.6.3 Control Tab Settings,


In this example we created an Updatebutton that is in charge of updatingthe LOGs file with latest changes,saving on removable media. You cancreate another method to do the samefunction(creating Actions).

Create a Security Group byclicking on the New Groupbutton in the Environment,Security menu.

Select Use Security on TargetSecurity option.

Change Password/Fingerprintswindow to Fingerprints. Otherparameters need to beconfigured according to projectdefinitions.

To create yourcredentials, insert allrequested information(User Name,password), selectSecurity Group thenclick on Start button tovalidate fingerprints,

You should register 2different fingerprints,reading each onethree times.

After that, youll see asuccess message onFingerprints screen,otherwise, repeat theprocedure again.

You can manageusers credentialsdirectly on HMI, to dothat, go to Security onToolchest Folders.



Within Toolchest, dragUserManager objectto panel screen.



Once the biometricswitch is connected tothe HMI, you canreplicate the sameprocedure mentionedon pages 16 and 17.

During the download procedure, check Delete all Run-timeData to update all Security Settings on HMI
