Herringbone flooring is exactly what its name suggests: a parquet floor laid in a pattern similar to that of a fish-bone. All strips of a herringbone parquet are exactly the same length and have a rectangular shape. Lalegno her-ringbone boards are 61cm long and 12.2 cm wide. The-se at first sight strange dimensions have been cleverly determined by our design team in order to obtain the perfect width / length ratio of 1 to 5, brilliantly delivering the most elegant results.

The beautiful Lalegno herringbone floors are made with oak in ABC grading. That is charming high quality wood, with lovely natural variations in colour and here and there a small knot, which makes the floor look neutral, but very natural. These floors are normally “brut”, that is unfinished, meaning you can adapt it exactly to your taste.

Here, the customer opted for a very special, exclusive finish: the planks were brushed, smoked, treated with a light gray color oil and two layers of high-quality polyurethane varnish.
