News From the Director
Happy New Year! What a great year we had in 2013—we had a record membership year of 896 members as of press time. We hope to see all of you renew your membership for 2014. Just $10 per month allows you access to all of the fabulous programs, classes, events and fitness center. Just read through our newsletter to see what you get for your money. Members can choose to pay for the year all at once, or sign up for bank draft for the $10/month option.
I am happy to announce that we are once again fully staffed. Lauren Woods joined our team at the end of last month as our morning Office Manager. Read more about Lauren inside the newsletter and help make her feel welcome.
In the event Davidson County schools close due to inclement weather, all center programming will be canceled. However, the center itself will remain open. Center Directors may use their discretion as to whether the center should be closed early or open late, thereby allowing members and staff extra time to/from home safely.
Lastly, I would like to send out a special “Thank You” to the hard-working Fundraising Committee of FiftyForward Madison Station. This committee did a fantastic job of running four fabulous dinner shows this year, raising $5,000 for our center. Thank you to each of you for all of your time and dedication to our center, and thank you to all of you who bought tickets!
