Aibi Presents “Made in Chicago sells local designers work which makes the store unique by only selling apparel &

accessories made by Chicago’s very own. The mission of Aibi is to promote the apparel and sewn

product industry and to assist it’s members in developing professional skills identifying opportunities and obtaining new

business The goal of Aibi’s “Made In Chicago” store is to bring local

designer's work to the forefront of Chicago Fashion.

Dorothy Fuller : Creator of AIBI

Started in 1987 and also, is the founder of the Dorothy Fuller Production

company located in Chicago.

Chicago. Susan has a successful fashion

promotion company. Mart Fashion Production, which includes full service

Production Company, specializes in Fashion shows.

Also, Fashion Events, Fashion Consulting and Fashion Merchandising

which she does for important people in fashion. She is currently the vice president of Women’s Apparel for

Merchandise Mart Properties.

Marsha Brenner Has her hand deep in Chicago fashion by being the current Executive Director of Aibi of

Chicago. Member of the Costume Council of

Chicago History Museum, past president of Fashion Group

Foundation of Chicago, Inc., and past president of the Chicago

Fashion Guild. With more countless memberships

under her belt she does have a creative side, which she was a designer and manufacture of jewelry for the last 25 years

Samantha Bogan is currently Director of Public Relations at PR Chicago and also, currently is senior at IADT Chicago studying Merchandise Management

with a fashion for passion and people. Working with Macy’s for Glamorama for the last

two years, Latino fashion week for the last three years and has worked with countless Chicago

designers around the Chicago land area. Fashion Consultant at Agaci Clothing company for the last year and also, interning at Zoo High

Clothing LLC.

Aibi presents Made In Chicago one-year anniversary hosted by Mayor Rahm Emanuel

Aibi is pleased to announce that Mercedes Benz will be awarding a Five thousand dollar Scholarship

 

Chicago, IL (April 18, 2013) The one year celebration will take place at the Made In Chicago new storefront where original designers as well as new designer’s apparel and accessories will be on display for sale. Sponsors of the event are Mercedes Benz and Ciroc.

 Celebrating a year of being open M.I.C will have a star-studded celebration bringing out Chicago elite. With the mayor Rahm Emanuel hosting during Chicago Fashion Week this event will be the highlight of the week. Chicago fashion week has been expanding over the years and the week has been getting bigger and more publicized every year. Also, Benz is holding a riffle to be chauffeured for a week in Maybach Benz 24 hour personal driver. Open Bar drinks provided by Ciroc, Celebrity Dj Solange Knowles and catering graciously provided by Maggiano’s Little Italy.

 To showcase the new store front and along with designers Aibi is pulling out all the tricks to make this night as special as possible. With the host of the event being the city’s mayor Rahm Emmanuel all of Chicago elite will be in attendance.

 Aibi is pleased to help the up and coming designer of the future by helping the designer’s get funding to help pay for their education. This year for the special event Mercedes Benz will be granting a five thousand award to the winner of the first annual Aibi designer on the rise challenge to fashion design students who are current seniors.

 Aibi has multiple programs and M.I.C is one of them, which is geared towards supporting and promoting the apparel and sewn products industry. Promoting Chicago designers is important for Aibi Chicago therefore, making this a special night for the designers and the city of Chicago is a must.

 The Apparel Industry Board, Inc's mission is to promote the apparel and sewn products industry and to assist its members in developing professional skills, identifying opportunities and obtaining new business. AIBI founded in 1987 is comprised of industry leaders and professionals in Greater Chicago and Illinois whose careers and business expertise span all facets of apparel and sewn products, including design, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and finance. The Board sponsors programs that bring visibility to the industry. Aibi opened the doors to Made In Chicago November 16, 2012.
