JOYA SANGRIA –

THE JEWEL OF SPAIN

In 2016, the growth for demand of premium products continued to rise for wine, among other alcoholic beverages.

Consumers are paying more with double digit increases in the $11 - $25 range in search of authentic/premium products

to satisfy their taste buds. Though, the mark is still dominated by 750 ml bottles, the rise in popularity for Bag-In-Box

continues to grow in popularity (Frederickson 2016).

Why Joya Sangria: Joya Sangria is Authentic! Our origins are from the small town of La Puebla de Almoradiel,

nestled between the rolling hills and vast plains of Castilla La Mancha, Spain. known for its winemaking traditions

since before the time of Don Quixote, a prestigious family winery is transforming noble grape varieties into this vibrant,

authentic and Premium Sangria layered with all-natural essences of fresh Mediterranean fruits. Joya uses only 100%

fresh and natural ingredients and contains no additives.

Our Sangria: RED: A refreshing blend of Premium Spanish Red varietals-

45% Tempranillo, 45% Garnacha and 10% Bobal - layered with natural

essences of fresh Mediterranean fruits and natural sugar. 12% ABV

Red Tasting notes: Fruit forward and smooth finish with freshly

crushed red fruit on the nose, nice blackberries and dark plums

on the palate, with Valencia orange peel and mint cutting through

the mid-palate and excellent balance.

WHITE: A refreshing blend of Premium Spanish White varietal

Airén and natural essences of Mediterranean fruits

and natural sugar. 12% ABV.

White Tasting notes: Fruit forward - slightly muted nose of fresh

white fruit, peaches and guava. Palate is perfectly balanced with

THE SANGRIA TREND:

Driven by consumers’ thirst for a beverage that’s not quite wine and not quite a cocktail, sales of Sangria have

grown. According to Mintel research, 71% of German consumers, 59% of Spanish, 58% of French and 42% of Italians, aged 18-24, prefer

wine with stronger fruity flavors. In fact, they are far more likely to prefer fruity flavored wine than older wine drinkers for whom ‘dry’

wine is often considered superior. With these numbers, Sangria is proving to be one of the fastest growing alcohol beverages on the market.

THE ON-GOING DEMAND FOR SANGRIA:

Universal preferences change over time and consumers tend to gravitate toward the “it” drink of the moment. Yet, Sangria has remained

a staple of consumers’ consumption, since the age of Don Quixote. Sangria’s continued popularity has been driven by new and innovative

participants in the market, along with a rich history that resonates with millennials. Together, these two factors keep the overall sangria

market fresh in the minds of consumers, helping the industry continue to grow. Sales for Sangria grew 9.8% percent last year, while the wine

category grew by 90% over the past five years. Boxed wine sales are up 21% (YTD in IRI Channels)
