OCT. 13, 2018 | 12 PMKLEINBANK STADIUM
THE WEEKEND IN REVIEW
Timely defense helped MacMurray hold off Westmin-ster, 19-14, giving the Highlanders their third straight victory.
Minnesota Morris broke the hearts of the Storm, scoring with 27 seconds left to defeat Crown, 37-33.
Martin Luther rallied for another come from behind win at Iowa Wesleyan, 28-21. The Tigers held a 21-7 lead with nine minutes remaining before the Knights scored 21 unanswered points.

THE WEEK AHEAD
The UMAC’s schedule consists of two noon games and two 6 p.m. games this weekend. Iowa Wesleyan will have a bye week.
MacMurray (3-1, 3-0) visits a winless Storm (0-6 0-4) team for a noon kickoff.
Westminster (1-4, 1-3) looks to stop the red hot Knights, traveling to Martin Luther (4-1, 3-0) in the other afternoon contest.
After a bye week, Greenville (1-4, 1-2) will try and move to .500 in conference play at St. Scholastica (3-2, 3-1).
Late heroics vaulted Minnesota Morris (2-3, 2-1) to its second UMAC win of the season last week. The Cou-gars will try and win their third straight at a slumping Northwestern (2-4, 2-2).

LOOKING BACK AT 2017
The Highlanders racked up 574 yards of total offense in a 48-34 win over Crown College. Se-nior running back Chazz Middlebrook found the end zone four times while rushing for nearly 300 yards on the day.
A 3-yard run by Middlebrook and a PAT from Noah Sandoval put MacMurray up early. Mac answered a Crown TD with a pass from Nathan Randall to Ian Leib. The Storm tacked on anoth-er touchdown before the end of the first, but the 2-point conversion failed, giving the hosts a 14-13 lead.
Devonta Preston recorded the lone score of the second quarter, a 7-yarder from Randall.
Marquez Ellison’s 12-yard run in the third put the Highlanders up 34-13. Crown scored late in the third and early in the fourth to shred the Mac-Murray lead to single digits.
Middlebrook answered with two more rush-ing touchdowns for a commanding lead in the fourth, helping the Highlanders seal the win.
Preston tallied 100+ yards receiving on the day while Randall threw for over 200 yards.
Defensively, Chris Blanchard, London Gulley and Cory Farneti all had seven tackles. Farneti con-tributed 3 TFLs as Javon Muhammad added 2 TFLs.
The Highlanders never punted once in the matchup and were an efficient 6 of 8 in the red zone.
• 13 different receivers have caught passes so far this year• Five of the 13 have hauled in touchdowns, including two from Devonta Preston and Zach Reische
