Quality. The main objective.

The Team. A valuable asset.

REM Masini Unelte is a privately owned company with 100% Romanian capital, top provider of machine tools and performance solutions for the metal working industry around the world.

Our company has 4 divisions:

The Machine Tools Division has a key role in our company and we consider it one of the most important. The extended knowledge of our specialists and the continuous acquiring of new technology help us build extremely reliable and high quality products.

The Cutting & Welding Division is equipped with high performance machines and the latest technology in the field. This assures a high flexibility in the production process, giving the possibility to build welded structures without being necessary to mechanically machine the components.

The Machining Division is an industrial contractor which utilizes precision CNC machining to supply quality for various industries. We can machine prismatic and revolution pieces like beds, columns, cases, saddles, rams and bearings.

The Foundry Division is specialized in producing cast iron and nodular cast iron parts with a maximum gross weight of 50 tons at a final estimated capacity of 600 tons per month.

We deliver to companies in France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, USA, and other foreign countries and have great regard for quality standards and meeting the client's specification to the letter.

Building a strong name on the market can only be done by having a constant regard for quality standards and meeting the client's specification to the letter. We have consolidated that goal by implementing a Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001:2008, certified by TUV CERT.

Also, to respect the precision values for the CNC machines, we purchased a REINSHAW type control and compensation system for the linear and rotary axis.

Our design specialists work with tools such as Solidworks, Eplan and Visio because we also attribute great importance to the software used in creating our products.

We believe that a company is as great as its people are. In our company we consider employees to be the most important resource. Their technical capabilities, professional education and flexibility give us the possibility to develop products that achieve the demanded performance. In some departments, such as quality control, there are employees who have 25 years or more experience in the field. This is why we constantly invest in training and motivating our personnel. The team is structured in 6 departments: Mechanical design, Mechanics, Electric, electronic & software, Sales, Quality Control and Support & Services. We work with: ATOS, BALUFF, DEUBLIN, GE FANUC, GRAESSNER, HAWE HYDREULIK, HAIDENHAIN, ROMANI GROUP, SIEMENS, SFK, TIMKEN,VOGEL, ZF.

Cutting & Welding

18 19

The cutting & welding division is doped with high performance machines and has a well trained personnel. This assures a high flexibility, giving the possibility to build welded structures without being necessary to mechanically machine the components. The CNC cutting machine OXITOME 30 HPC – made by SAF France, can cut with the oxygen head pieces with a ± 0,5 mm precision and a 300 mm thickness. With the high definition plasma head can cut high allied steels, cast iron or non-ferrous metal with a 40 mm thickness.

The chamfering is made with the help of the semiautomatic cutting machines IK 92 PUMA and IK 12 MAX 3 made by KOIKE Japan. The thin sheet pieces are cut by a hydraulic guillotine BAIKAL HNC 3100x6 with a numerical control for positioning, or by the plasma cutting machine. The cold deformation of sheets is made by a hydraulic press ABKANT CNC with 6 axes control BAIKAL APHS-ECO 3106x120, and the rolling of the sheets is made by a machine built by REM Bacau. The welding of the pieces is made with semiautomatic welding in secure gas environment equipment SAF DIGI WAVE 400, TELWIN MASTERMIG 270/2, ESAB MIG 400.For handling and lifting the division has a 10 to bridge crane KONECRANES one forklift KALMAR 16 to. and 2 forklifts of 3,5 to.
