High Efficiency Three-phase Motors

The standard design includes the followingbasic features to give a high level offlexibility:

• Multi Mount Construction for an easy change of terminal box position

• Terminal box rotates by 90° to allow cable entry from any direction

• Easy-to-change flanges with over-sized and smaller-sized dimensions

• Provision for oil seal at Drive End

Motors conforming to the higher efficiencystandards for Europe, North America andAustralia.

For Europe, Lafert offers its ‘AMHE’ rangeof AC induction motors, whose efficiencyvalues are conforming to IE2 requirements.

Lafert’s motor for the North Americanmarket comprise the ‘AMH’ range. Thesemachines meet the higher efficiencydemands of the USA’s Department ofEnergy’s Energy Policy Act (EPAct): it isillegal to import Motors into the USA andCanada that do not comply with thisstandard.

In addition to EPAct requirements, thesemotors are a recognised componentverified by Underwriters Laboratories andcarry the UL approved logo.

Il mercato dell'ascensore elettrico a fune,nella sua evoluzione tecnologica verso isistemi M.R.L. (Machine Room Less), senzalocale macchine con trazione di tipogearless (argano senza riduttore) richiedesistemi di controllo robusti, che abbianocosti contenuti, e che possano essere messiin servizio in modo facile e veloce.

L'avvento di questi sistemi M.R.L. ha vistoper la prima volta l'impiego del motoresincrono a magneti permanenti (PMSM) suiquali si è ormai consolidata la tecnicagearless e richiede l'adozione di soluzionicon regolatori di frequenza che possanorispettare tali premesse, e che integrati inun Quadro di Manovra (QM), realizzino leseguenti caratteristiche:

• regolazione con buone performance di controllo motore;

• retroazione su encoder per una buona gestione dinamica della macchina;

• semplice assegnamento/lettura dei parametri direttamente sul drive;

• setting delle velocità e dei profili di moto;

The advent of M.R.L. systems resulted inthe first use of the permanent magnetsynchronous motor (PMSM) with a provengearless technique utilising a frequencycontroller and able to satisfy suchrequirements and features within a ControlBoard (CB):

SHIRE is a gearless machine for traction ofthe elevator system fitted with disc brake,permanent-magnet synchronous radial-flow motor, traction sheave and encoder.Thanks to its very compact dimensions andits concept arising from the position of theelevator shaft, the power/weight andtorque/weight ratios are very high.

SHIRE uses sheaves ø 210mm to 400mmcoupled with traditional steel ropes. It wasintended for the installation in the pit headand due to its compact size allows acompact and rational layout of allcomponents.

The compact and heavy-duty motor comeswith the following features:

• high Efficiency in the whole speed range • energy saving, almost one third

compared with most common hydraulictraction systems;

• very small dimensions thanks to fractional slot winding design;

In addition, due to the use of high-qualitybearings with long-life lubrication and thelack of friction components, SHIRE is a verylow level maintenance machine. Thefeedback of the machine is performed by ahigh quality encoder allowing the fineadjustment of the motion and the finemanagement of the elevator car position inthe whole speed range.

Particular attention was given to theelectromagnetic section dimensioning thatwas dimensioned and optimised usingmodern analysis and precision designtechniques, thus obtaining highperformance in terms of torque and verylow ripple at low speed.

Bassa manutenzione

L'utilizzo di cuscinetti di alta qualità,prelubrificati a vita, e l'assenza di partiusurabili, fatta eccezione per la puleggia,fanno dello SHIRE una macchina abassissimo livello di manutenzione.

Bassa rumorosità

Lo SHIRE, non avendo stadi di riduzionemeccanica, ed essendo pilotato da inverterad alta frequenza di commutazione, egrazie all'adozione di evolute tecniche perla realizzazione degli avvolgimenti, è unargano affidabile e con un bassissimo livellodi rumore.
